And conversely what topics would you like to see less of?

Why or why not?

I love ancient historical topics, ancient deities and cultures and archaeological topics because to me they are fascinating topics, not to mention they can spark some great debates too :) Less of, I'm not overly enthusiastic with banter topics but that's because I banter enough on the phone daily so I'm usually bantered out by mid-morning...lol Yet, I do like banter sometimes too...I think I'm fickle. LOL

I like discussions as posted by Sara, SIN, Xoc, or Ashkuff (allthough he is trying to steer in a certain direction, too hard, often).

My favourite topics would be things like, paganism/heathenism in pop culture, paganism/heathenism in Christianity, philosophy in the seemingly mundane, arts, history of the arts (same for crafts) as overlapping with the Occult, admittedly political aspects of everything including more of all history and anthropology, I love most things mythology related.

Also I find myself intrigued by other members seemingly (that is hope speaking) catch22 situations, often of even mundane nature, of course it depends on how intriguing the member is, but in general I get something out of it. I always like to know how others handle mundane things.

I want to see less horribly spelled one liner discussion starters. It evokes fantasies of me introducing heads to keyboards, with varying force applied. Those with too much Springer vibe make me want to do the same.

I'd enjoy reading how people cast real working spells and orchestra magic for their personal benefit, without any reservations and in plain language.

I'd also like to read about what a day in the life for the different practitioners is all about, even what they may feel is boring. The sort of, got up and had breakfast of....., then it's off to....., where I got into it with....., and on and on. See how other people really function with their belief.

I'd like a better understanding how pagans, particularly those that are pantheistic; commune with their deities.

I like silly stuff too, I love that! The more ridiculous, the better. It makes me laugh like a monkey.

Examples? Sure, why not? What's everyone's favorite cheese, what was your last drunk and dial experience like, what's the best peanut butter, and what do you use it for, which celebrity would you make pagan, and what type of pagan would they be? That sort of silly, off the wall stuff.

I like a mix of sensible, serious, and silly.

That's it, exactly. I'd really enjoy exploring the concept, hearing what these people have to express without the bombardment of clinical source siting and derailing skepticism.

Those have a place and a time as well, no doubt, and I'm interested in the rebuttal too, but I'd like the whole thing laid out uninterrupted.

I can seek the information from book sourcing, or even seek out consultations from those that have an established "practice", but I would really enjoy reading an organic individual explain how they make it happen, the results, and what it took out of them to get there.

However, then I'd be spending all my time defending myself from the "science only" crowd.

You already spend a decent amount of energy focusing on "them", in that weird manner that is in disharmony with your image. But you know my opinion on that already.

Your remark reminded me how I got blasted for telling a few things about my roots, and such. As if it were a crime to not be of a "normal" family. You don't just get attacked for fairies in your backyard or gods in your bedroom, but also for other things - and they don't even have to do with how unscientific something is, and people will attack YOU, and not your opinion.

I like to read about those ones, as well. My requirements are that the person knows that magic at least has to do with psychology, and knows what he/she is doing. And that better not be the selling of Snake Oil and not wanting to pay ad fees.

Ha ha, snake oil!

I've bought a life time supply, don't need anymore!

I agree with Ritalin-bunny...more spell-casting topics!  It would be interesting to see what other people are doing and HOW!  (lots of details)  Also topics covering supplies...example: where do others shop for their herbs and the such...or do they harvest from nature.  Or how about more info. on Scrying, (tarot or pendulum?) How about how to use a crystal ball? A lot of folks might not know this.

2 thumbs up for ancient history and deities also!

Oh yeah...great subject idea!  How does everyone "hide" their occult-ness from family and co-workers? Or even if they do?  I'm sure most members here have neighbors, family or close friends that would faint "if they only knew".  I would love to here stories from members on this subject!

Exactly. I started this due to some recent complaining that there's just nothing good on PS anymore. Hopefully this will encourage people to post them there threads.

I don't believe a word. I have a thing for heathen aspects in Catholicism and that's basically Christian.

After noticing how people like you treat me when I mention something personal (that is not even criticism, history, or anything else academic) you can wait a long time until I make such a post, that deals with anything personal, only to hear shitty unasked for pseudo-analysis.

Also, I am not Sara, or Xoc. For most topics I go to groups now.

This type of reply to FM really wasn't necessary Maire, had he said something passive aggressive or snide I could understand it but he did not. You had a great list of suggestions for discussion, maybe he actually found it interesting and you shouldn't just assume a war on this thread when there was none.

I'm not a citizen of Eternia (speak: supernaive dumbass peasant, who will always be surprised when Skeletor attacks), Starr. Also I can't see having him called any names. But of course a person who told me I was stupid, ugly and wasn't able to write in proper English, thinks my suggestions are awesome.

I don't know why I even get moderated for using my experience as a deciding factor on how to receive a remark.
