For Yule I'm making a turkey/wild rice/vegetable soup from the Thanksgiving carcass (it's been in the freezer and will be stock, soon), probably either a broccoli/cheese or a potato/cheese soup, and baking a ham with a honey/mustard glaze (unless I decide to steam it in cider...). Oh and I'm making fresh bread, of course. And serving a beet and goat cheese salad. My kinswoman is bringing roasted root vegetables and bruscetta, and more potluck feast contributions will arrive...
I make a Morning After Breakfast, too - up this time is a lemon/blueberry wafle mixture and bacon, plus homefries...and the usual yogurt and granola, bagels and creme cheese, clementines and bananas...and loads of coffee...
Well For sweetpotato/candied yams. I take the juice from the canned yamms with 1/4 cup of karo syrup. Brown suger about 3/4 of a cup. pumpkin spice and cloves spice and all spice put the spices in sauce pot let it simmer for about 10 min. Taking the yamms putting them in a baking pan putting the sauce on top of the yamms put oven on to about 350. Let them bake for about 10 min, take out then put big or small marshmellows on top and put back in the oven for about another 5 min. or until the marshmellows are golden. I am not good at writing out recipes off the top of my head so if u need more info on it lemme know. But they are yummy
