Why do people start a group if they are not going to keep up on it?

Why do people start a group if they are not going to keep up on it? I am still waiting on getting approved in Ohio Community but I think she is no longer here or something?

I think they start out with every intention of keeping it going, but further down the line something in life happens and the group gets forgotten about.
I have seen the idea put forward (not sure where) that groups which have been inactive for a year or more be terminated.
Another idea was that if someone were willing to take over the running of an inactive group they should be given the chance to do so.

Pagans are lazy as hell.

"I think it's possible that some people do drop dead, are incarcerated by the man,

forget their passwords to the site, and with all due respect to the interweb generation

- attention spans seem to be diminishing to an extremely short time stimulus; thru no

fault of their own. That last one seems contrived by media and adverting agencies."

Both opinions have truth...

I left a poetry group latent years ago , after it was passed to me...

And a group on the code I teach , when interest waned...

I think I also had a group on Dark Magic , and Cursing...

All under my old account from about 2011...

Things happen...life changes...

But I can understand your frustration , Rev.

Hope you here from your group leader soon...

Or get permission to take it over !

Take this cat they call "Shawn Blackwolf"; this guy, literally smokes so much weed, he sets off geiger counters and he's starting to grow roots.

1. You are just jealous

2. I may take one or two hits in a one hit pipe , a month now...

Smoked for 35 years...gave it mostly up , over 12 years ago...

3. If you are ever in my area...I may let you come see me , and enjoy yourself...

( medical card necessary )

I am not adverse to smoking you out sir :3

Perhaps because most likely thanks to FB, smaller independent web communities and forums...yet alone the groups on them become increasingly inactive. There must be a billion of pagan groups on FB now, but not many post there either...they are too busy reading things on their wall and looking at adverts which the FB staff thinks are suitable for them.

It is a sad deverlopment which is one of the reasons why I have left FB for good! I remember a time when smaller web communities had much more to offer than FB has ever had, which is why I have set to mind to support the few good web communities fitting my persona and interests that are still around, instead of the gray mass called FB!

But it is happening everywhere this inactivity and it is not due to the fact that people are less online...everywhere you look people are sitting hunched over the smart phones...but on FB, Twitter or Instagram!

Sometimes when groups are being searched there isnt enough information thats wanted. While some of us try to keep them going its difficult to do. And some are just too lazy to do the work thats involved and want to be spoon fed They dont contribute to the group and the groups fall apart eventually is what I think.

Sometimes life just gets in the way or people just don't show up. However, there seems to also be this phenomenon in the Pagan community where people start groups simply to seem important. I don't know about this group in particular though so I couldn't tell you.

Pagans don't have lives. They have stints in the joint, lapses in welfare eligibility, and drinking binges. Also, sometimes the free internet access in the public library blocks pages like this so they have to spend their allotted computer time on Farmville instead :)

And just ***why*** are you on a Pagan website ?

Just wondering , you one fingered , rainbow unicorn avatar wonder...LOL...;)

He's just here for the attention everyone gives him. He lives such a sad life that he thinks belittling others makes him bigger than he actually is. Watch, he'll respond with some snarky, predictable comment to prove my point.
