Why is everyone always downing the Ouija?

I was warned when I was 16 by another witch to never touch one. She said I was an open channel. So, just to be on the safe side, I took her warning to heart and have never messed with one.

If you're an "open channel", Dragononstorm, then I wouldn't worry about a Ouija board. It's not about boards and whatnot, it's about the person. Think about it.

I don't believe for one second that a Ouija board can open the flood-gates to anything sinister. As individuals, we all have varying levels of sensitivity to the world around us. I don't believe in the supernatural as I feel that nature is nature and nothing is "above" nature - it's all one thing and cannot be separated; to do so sounds flawed to me, especially if we believe in magic etc. Again, as individuals, it's our sensitivity to the world around us that is dependent on what we interact with. No one has to agree with this as it's my own personal view. As an "open channel", this means one is always in contact with nature and all that it contains, including energies (however you want to define them). Does this make sense to you?

Yes, it does. But it still scares me. Her warning makes me feel like I have no control. She said that I could easily be taken over. That was 24 years ago, and I have certainly grown and learned a lot, but her warning has always stuck with me. I am an empath and extremely sensitive to the world around me...

Yeah a lot of it is to do with an individual's auto-suggestion and psychology, and I think this is often how a Ouija board works because of the negative image it has. I can't help thinking that it's just propagandist scaremongering held by the Abrahams just like anything to do with the Occult.

I've had many great experiences with the Ouija Board because I know the do's and don'ts of using it. The only negativity really is people that are unexperienced of using it. Young children buy them and they have no idea of how to maintain the spirits coming out from the board. Believe me, I've seen it done all over the place. But as long as you know what you're doing with it I see no problem in Ouija Boards, just as long as you follow the restrictions and say a blessing before and after using the board.
But in all honesty, I think Ouija Boards are great. I have one myself. That's how I met my Wolf Spirit Guide Tiny. :]

I have had some very positive experiences with the Ouija, but I am always carefull with it. I always use a circle to protect me....it can be a really wonderful tool!

I gave my answer to this post, then I read all the replies, so now I have a question. In not one reply did anyone say anything about using it alone. I read some where, I can't remember where, that you should never use it by yourself. Who, besides me, has used it alone, and has anyone else heard of this nonsense?

that was covered in the "Witchboard" movie....the theory was that you were more apt to possession...fact is you need two to balance it....thats just a matter of the physics of it...not the metaphysics.

I don't have anything against it if its used with care, if you don't know what your doing i guess it could be a tiny bit dangerous, but i dont know all that much so i guess my thoughts are useless haha

matter of fact my son is getting one for when I'm in PA during the week we can use one again.
but he said his friend was on her way to the store to pick one up for him and she hit
a deer and totaled her car. is that weird or what
