would you do it?

 hey all,  at my job, they having a halloween party.  they are all christians . they know  i am a witch  they want  me to dress in my robe and such. I am not sure what to think, Would you do It? should it/

It has little to do with religion! Everything to do with them wanting everyone to have fun and either a)scare people or b)make them smile! His boss Linda wants to see what everyone will come up with!! Including Jamie and I! Linda has utmost RESPECT for Jamie and I (his wife)! She wouldn't do it for "a cheap joke".

Then do it! :)  Unless you have issues about using consecrated ritual garments for a costume.  Then don't, but come up with something that makes YOU happy.

As Lucy van Pelt would say...and I quote " A person should chose a costume that contrasts their own personality" LOL!

There's some little 'niggle' there in my brain that says your cloak/robe etc...is NOT a costume. So for me personally? I'd go as Mother Teresa or...maybe Joan of Arc.

But...each to his own!

For me absolutely not what I wear or don't wear when I am in circle alone or with my coven is not street clothing.. and if I were asked to do this I would ask why, for what purpose,, are they merely curious?  Nope I don't do the dog and pony show ...

Honestly, I might do it if they were generally friendly and respectful. On that note, a friend invited me to her Halloween costume party once, and asked me to "come as a witch,you know, the stuff you wear when you're being one." I showed up in jeans, t-shirt, and sneakers. :)
