"The Ghosts show some teens, how the west was really won!"
I found the movie amusing, in that it features 'Wicca' through out the film. 'Ancient Wicca' protected the town, until one of the protective totems (an Ankh placed in strategic places in the town to form a 'pentacle' (really a pentagram)) is out of place. On Friday the 13th, the ghosts of the town reign supreme and kick ass. The teens are being taken out one by one, unless they can replace the missing totems.
First, the young girl who states her mother raised her with Wicca calls it an 'ANK', I knew where the film was going after that. Seems the writers read a single book to formulate their ideas for the plot.
It was a lame movie, but if you want a good laugh and yell at the tv screen while you are watching - this is the movie for you!
Maybe it was a good thing I missed it, because I would've broken my dad's prized flat-screen TV. I try to AVOID watching any of the truly excreable movies (some of which should be labeled sci-fi porn) that are churned out by 3rd rate studios.
I know it's just a movie, but it's a real pet peeve of mine. We, as pagans, are proud of our beliefs, but there's a lot of ignorant yahoos in the world who see this crap in movies and seriously BELIEVE this is what we pagans really do. I would love to see the day when a show, episode or movie comes out and portrays us in a realistic fashion.
At least that's my feelings on it. I'll get off my soapbox.
