PaganSpace.net The Social Network for the Occult Community

Hi All,

If you have a suggestion for the reading room please place your comments in this thread. Please place the name of the title, a category and a link to where the material is located. Currently I am utilizing a third-party account we have to make the viewing of materials open to all and easy to read. Please do not attach any materials to this thread or they will be deleted; as these file types are very heavy and as I said, we are utilizing a third-party host for the reader.

I look forward to your suggestions for additions, and hopefully before long we'll have a diverse and large library of texts for all to enjoy!

Much Love & Big Hugs,
Starrfire

What about that option that says:
I am currently reading, then it supplies an icon and link to the book. That way, people can read the book's synopsis and decide if they would like to read it too.

This could be better utilized in the blog feature as well, this would allow people to post a review about the book they are reading or have read.

I'd like to see lore about Brigid. She's my patron Goddess, so I'd love to find as much about her as I can. Anybody got any good stories or history or what have you?

*grin*

The book that probably made the biggest impression on my life to date is Conversations With God (an uncommon dialogue) by Neale Donald Walsch. This is a trilogy of books that are extremely readable and throw an amazing light on many areas of our existence. It made sense of the world around me and answered all my questions in full. Excellent. I recommend it to all those who are searching for answers.

Here is one of my favorite places. The Internet Sacred Texts Archives. I spend hours on so many different topics, sometimes I get lost! I hope you find it as enlightening as I have found it. Let me know what you think!

I am currently reading To Submit and Serve by Susan Wright. I believe what it says on the cover, this is for fans of Jacqueline Carey and her awesome series Kushiel's Legacy. Full of intrigue and other things to get the imagination going. ;) More comments to come...

"Lucinda's Web" by Dorothy Morrison
This is the description from Willow Tree Press,
Lucinda's Web, debut fiction from award winning pagan author, Dorothy Morrison.

Tess Logan knows magic. She knows how it works, why it works, and what it takes to make it work. But that’s not all. She also knows how to make it happen. It’s simply a part of who she is, for Tess Logan—despite all the other attributes that make her such a thoroughly modern woman—is a thoroughly modern Witch.

No amount of magical experience or expertise, though, could have ever prepared her for this. In fact, she never even dreamed it possible: A living, breathing set of spells cast more than a hundred years ago with enough stamina to follow her into the present day. Yet, here it is, writhing and twisting with activity, permeating every sector of her life, and slipping its tentacles into the lives of everyone she holds dear. Now, she’s faced with having to disentangle each slippery strand and destroy the magic without destroying those she loves—or herself.

I enjoyed reading the Keys of Solomon (greater and lesser) as well as the sacred book of Abremelin the mage. E-books are posted here. I have to admit these are not the easiest texts to read though, and they do have Christian overtones. However, I feel it is important to know about, since a lot of what we do is based on these books as well as Agrippa's occult philosophies (which can also be found on the link). Appologies if I named something already added.
