POD CAST WITH A PARENT SITE....OR WITH OUT? The question can be answered best as "Insurance or no insurance." A Parent Site gives you free exposure, and defends you from nasty spammers.
PREMIUM COST OR NOT? All that Premium does is give you a few notches more of exposure and the ability to edit with AUDACITY.
THE PROBLEM IS IN THE UPLOAD OF THE NEW EDITED POD CAST INTO THE PARENT POD CAST SITE. Once they throw their advertising on { like TV its always louder then the show}...you're beautiful edited show volume seems to drop to half.}...Which means you are paying PREMIUM COST to have great edited format, but inferior sound with a NICE LOUD COMMERCIAL.

As a Pod Caster for the last 2 years with Blog Talk Radio, I am always searching for ways to market the show. A Pod Cast without listeners is like playing with a toy tape recorder. The best way to get listeners is have GREAT SOUND. But of course MARKETING your show is just as important. I have found upkeeping 3 or 4 blogs and belonging to 2 or 3 net works rocks. Pagan Space is of course THE BEST. THE DEMON OF BAD POD CASTING IS BAD SOUND. It stinks as bad as a Band playing on stage without equal sound. Best to have Radio Pod Casting Hosts using the same equipment.

My Advice for Reading stuff is to read it until it doesn't sound like your reading it.
This is actually much harder then it sounds.

I am interested in taking my ebooks and turning them into audio books as well.

Hello everyone. I started doing podcasts a few months ago when my arm was in a cast. I began it to keep in touch with members of my group on another network. I feel in love with it. I've always loved the sound of my own voice. LOL
I use audacity.com to record. It's easy for me.
I also use podbean and podomatic to host them. It's easy to get them on ITunes too.
All these are free and easy to use.

I have begun doing mediations for my podcasts. These are a lot of fun. I really enjoy seeing where people from all over the world are listening.

Just do it and have fun,
