I've only had one experience, so I'm not sure if it was 'prepared' correctly, but here in Dallas, TX we have "The Absinthe Bar". I'll have to go back again to try it out. The aroma was the strongest I have ever experienced, but I worked down mine and started on the ones my friends couldn't finish. I almost finished the second one before it was time to leave. I hope the next time will be soon!

Hello everyone. I remember the first time I tried Absinthe. Lets just say that I was underage and stupid. My friend and I broke into his father's stash and found some. We didn't even use sugar, or anything. Though, I found that I loved the taste. And just have found that it grows better as I age.

I had my first taste of absinthe this past yule. Unfortunately it had a very strong flavor of black licorice which I absolutely abhor. I've been told that it can have other flavors so I'm on the hunt for something that is a little more to my tastes.

I tried to order some in Paris, as an after dinner drink. People looked at me as if I had just asked for a glass of hemlock! Actually the modern drink is far less lethal than that of La Belle Epocque.

Finally tried some absinthe..!!..it tasted not quite as bad as I thought...but it was only about 60 proof...not the over 100 stuff of old...or homemade...did seem to have a mellowing effect...think it would be great for rituals...i would love to do the whole mix drink thing...

hey storm remember when we smoked wormwood that one time?????. we never reached any heightened state but i remember laughing alot.\ plus it tastes bad. lmao. lets do it again i think i still have some.
