SHUFFLING AND DEALING: I will present two card layouts here: (1) a one-card layout, and (2) a nine-card layout. I will also describe (3) the double-cut.
The double-cut: Each shuffle must be followed by a double-cut. To double-cut, hold your just-shuffled deck in your left hand. Reach over with your right hand and pull out the bottom half of the cards and place them on top. Then in the same rhythmical motion, pull out about half the cards from the middle of the deck and place them on top. That completes a double-cut. You must double-cut your deck immediately after each shuffle.
One-card layout: Shuffle and double-cut your deck at least five times. Then fan out your deck and select a card from the general vicinity of the middle of the deck.
If you want to use a layout of two, or three, or four cards, shuffle and double-cut your deck at least four more times than the number of cards you are going to use in your layout. Fan out your deck for each card you are going to select, and select your card from the general vicinity of the middle. After you select your card, close up your deck. Then fan it out again to select your next card. Continue in that fashion until you have the number of cards in your layout that you previously decided to use.
The two layouts I use most often are the one-card layout and the nine-card layout. Those two layouts are like the tips of two arrows traveling faster than the speed of light.
However, I encourage you to wait until you have used this oracle a few hundred times and have become intimately familiar with the precise nuance and implications of each card before you start doing one-card readings with any frequency. It is far too easy to read into one-card readings what you want to believe instead of what the card is actually telling you. For your shorter readings, it would probably be best to start out with four-card layouts.
Nine-card layout: Shuffle and double-cut your cards at least thirteen times (I always shuffle and double-cut fifteen times when using this layout), and deal your cards from the top of your deck. Deal out three rows of three cards each, for a layout of nine cards in all. In this layout, the first card will always represent the meaning of your reading as a whole. The ninth card dealt (which is also the third card on the bottom row) will always forecast what is to occur in your life right away concerning the subject matter of the question. This is magic, for the thing occuring right away would not be occurring nearly so soon, or even at all, had it not been for doing this particular nine-card divination in the first place. This is an incredibly helpful card layout. In fact, I recommend that you try to do most of your divinations with it.
You should use this nine-card layout every evening before you go to bed to forecast the events of your next day. Doing so will not only enable you to make better sense of what happens to you, it will improve what happens to you. And using this nine-card layout for doing weekly forecasts will have the same effect on your upcoming week. When doing next-day and weekly forecasts, your ninth card will not necessarily mean what is going to happen soonest, but will indicate the most important influence.

By following the shuffling and double-cutting instructions included here, you will achieve 100 percent accuracy with your cards 100 percent of the time.
