Disclaimer: We are a little bit different than most Covens, because we teach and share here at the table.Only to those willing to put in the time and energy to better the whole group should Join. We are not a parking lot for your name, so if you are not willing to put in the time and energy it will take to be a member here please do not join this group to waste our and your time.
We will cover Many subjects and give you many veiws on that subject and more.
This is a 5 Degree Program Magical System.
This is where you take the step into seriously working for your Degrees. If you are not interested in the Degree program drop out of Akantha Moon Coven because we are a Coven.

Official Coven Training in Akantha Moon Coven .. here by known as AMC.

Official Members Training in Akantha Moon Coven shall be constructed in a course of study as follows:

a.) Dedicant: A member of AMC who wishes to dedicate themselves to serving the Coven through he AMC training program, sets goals for the coming year and a day, and works to complete serveral academic requirements. Exact coursework to be determined by the Board of Counselors.
b.) First Degree: (D1) A member of AMC who has served for one year and a day or longer, has completed serveral academic requirements, particiated in at least 6 hours of Board of Counselors approved "community service projects", Various path requirements, several electives, and has completed various goals that they chose to complete. The exact coursework to be determined approved by the Board of Couselors.

To Earn the Degree of Seeker of Paganism in AMC, preform the following.

Profess a desire to learn and study the Craft through Paganism
List reasons for choosing this path.
Read and sign Dedicant Agreement
Start a Book of Whimsy
Study the AMC Pagan Glossary
Take the Coven Lessons #1-16
Take the Class " How To Love Your Pagan Life"
Read The Book: Aradia from C.G. Leland
Create a self-dedication ritual.
Enact the ritual.

To Earn the Degree of Novice of the Craft, perform the following:

witch as a conceptual design ( came from light of the candle) as a woman tolling at night with a candle before her and in a night gown or even less....

witches of the past didn't call themselves witches, they was just called "ladies of sight"
meaning diviner...or women of omens... and was known for where they practiced and not their names... (only the accusing ones then made names for them)

Wicca has taken the word witch (from the idea of the word "wit") and wit is to be wise in ones way of thinking... this is why we have that word to this day, and the conceptional ideal of wittershin .....

beyond that you have to look at the somerset and the brine women....

Comment by Master Golden Wizard "Luxas" on September 11, 2009 at 12:28am: though i don't follow Wicca i follow witchcraft, i know most or all the basic natures of wicca as a shamanistic passion, so if you would like advice in this i would be happy to help, just not spell casting workings unless they are reasonable...

Wicca is the Art of Modern Witchcraft a Reformed re-creation based on the ideals of Nature and the cycles of the living energy, it is shamanic and very earthly based, meaning it is ever changing to suit the religious upgrading of its need to understand things, those in wicca do prayer and reading practices to help there natural inner will along, while witchcraft itself is more about the powers within and about the aura and the 3 degrees that wiccan models only are beginning to understand.... the passion to want to be free and to connect to nature and or deity, is great and very rewarding, however it to most is only the beginning, as i have served the triple goddess of (isis/hecate/lilith(or more at times each in the ring of 3)
the nature to wicca was to be one to advance the modern witch but it has yet to for fill that goal, but it might....
