What is Astral Projection?

Astral projection (or astral travel) is a paranormal interpretation of an out-of-body experience achieved either awake or via lucid dreaming or deep meditation. The concept of astral projection assumes the existence of another body, separate from the physical body and capable of traveling to non-physical planes of existence. Commonly such planes are called astral, etheric, or spiritual. Astral projection is often experienced as the spirit or astral body leaving the physical body to travel in the spirit world or astral plane.

I have the CD set, which cost me quite a bit, but have had little time to use it, not having 12 months where I can work through it due to life commitments.

In a dream state I see myself coming out and floating horizontally through a wall or around the house and it fels like a cool breeze is flowing through my body, but this state never lasts very long before I try and take control and lose it.

One of the most informative books I have is by Hereward and Carrington and is called The Projection of the Astral Body. Dont think its in print any longer, which is a real shame is its full of information

Comment by M'dib on October 16, 2011 at 12:08am: anyone read any robert bruce's books? new energy ways.. i think i connect with what he's saying even though it seems far out... one thing that might be helpful he said: its helpful to have a slight level of discomfort.. don't practice at bed since youre wired to sleep by habit , you dig? better in a sofa ... Comment by M'dib on October 15, 2011 at 11:56pm: iv'e neved exited conciosly, but i think i've made it in dreams... it felt differently than a normal lucid dream to me... dunno how to explain the "gliding/flying" seemed different at the time... (what convinced me was that i "met" two friends whom i rarely see even less both together... the day after they confirmed having met at the same time i was asleep)
