Here is a bit of Astrological humor for the Cardinal Cross. My boss, Maria Kay Simms, was recommending that the current transit was a good time to clean out closets. I decided to exercise my free will, and I wasn't going to clean out any closets this weekend. Well, on Sunday, my VCR broke, and fortunately I had a replacement. However, it was buried in my closet, and I had to clean out my closet to get to it. So much for free will!

I have been doing some research on the planet Eris which was discovered in 2005. This was the planet that created so much discord in the Astronomical community, making them question as to whether Pluto should be considered a planet. Because of the upheaval, the Astronomers gave her the name of the goddess of discord. I have been tracking Eris through American History, and I have been finding she makes interesting aspects at times of major upheaval. There are also fascinating aspects in the charts of the Founding Fathers and other political figures.

Good points Galen. Please allow me to add. Sun in Cancer represents a "solar noon" or midpoint in the year that is a macrocosm of our "Earth Day" at noon. Here the sun is at it's most powerful (psychologically--and physically in the northern hemisphere), and yet the sign of it's power is rule by the moon, making the eclipse a perfectly natural event. It is this rare solar eclipse in Cancer that is the great alignment we all think of when we hear "2012." The moon intercepts the sun at it's peak--in HER peak. This is a great re-birth that we can choose to be a part of, or ignore, as so many do every day.

In about 3 hours this will all come to a head. It is a great thing today, and even tomorrow, if you miss it today, to take a nice long bath (Moon, Cancer, Water), immersing yourself (Sun, Ego, "Dominant life force on the planet") and dreaming up (womb) what you wish your future to be. St your goals and do some work on them today, tomorrow, and all of the next week.

Do I need to mention that all of this happens on the day of the sun, and is followed by the day of the moon? Showers can work, or a dip in the ocean, if you have one handy, a lake , stream, or even a kiddie pool. But go swimming. Turn on the sprinklers in the lawn and play like a child. BUT YOU MUST ignore the rest of the world and enter that womb-like state and find your meditation in order to truly profit from this.

This is a chance to expunge your past records and expel any toxin from you, and gain psychic nurturing. Beware though: If you currently have a cold, or any other violent toxins running through your body, you may "spread the infection" by soaking too much, and might do better with a LOT of cool, damp wipings with a cloth (see your doctor or other medical professional before.... you get the idea).

Anyway, have fun. Write out what you want your life to be, and spend the next week chasing it! You can always watch TV next week.
