My opinion would be Vanic but that's just my own opinion. Never worked with him much myself.

Hello all. Guess I'm what you would call a Vanic Warrior. Have huge respect for the Aesir too, but it was Freyja who found me and brought me into the whole Northern experience. While I've developed good relationships with many of the pantheon, both Aes and Van, I find myself more about the earth, the forests, and nature, than the Aesir seem to be. I work a great deal with magick, and train avidly with physical weapons as well, in particular the staff and bow. After learning about Ullr, work with him has yielded a highly productive relationship. Which brings me to a question; considering there is no particularly attestation one way or the other, would you say he is Vanic or Aesic? Not that it matters immensely, but I'm curious what folks here have to say.

Life again! And thank you for the tips on offerings. I tend to be much more animist than actually work with the common imagery of the gods as human like in appearance. I do feel, although, that offerings are still important regardless of the shape or form of said gods, and symbols, prayers, other methods of communion are still very valid. If I bring a group back to life does that make me a necromancer? Just kidding about that last bit...
And congratulations on starting your new family Victoria! I know it can be an enormous amount of work but if it's what you love, with who you love then it is definitely a pinnacle of experiences in our earth walk.

well Lonely Wolf for me I use to be on here all the time but then I met my husband and then last year in august I married him so I've been a bit busy with all that and trying to have a baby.  I don't have alot of experience but I do know if you want to be heard make sure you give offerings of either apple cider, beer, or mead and some kinda bread or cookie.

Guys this group is 2 years old with no comments. What have the gods been up to? What've you been doing with them....

I'm just getting started so not a whole lot of experiences yet. Curious to see what others have had. Also, how animal spirits play out in the Norse path...

It sounds to me as though She is seriously working on becoming on becoming your patroness.  The Vanir strike me as being much more (excuse please the pun) "down-to-earth."  I'm not a farmer, and I am 2 generations removed from being in a farming family, but my dad did work in agri-business for most of his adult career.  Does that count?    I did some research on my legal surname, and learned that it comes from old Norse for "small farm or farmstead."   It is also a place name in southern Norway, in the Trondheim region.
