If You See A Faery Ring
by
William Shakespeare

If you see a faery ring
In a field of grass,
Very lightly step around,
Tip-toe as you pass,
Last night faeries frolicked there-
And they're sleeping somewhere near.
If you see a tiny faery,
Lying fast asleep
Shut your eyes
And run away,
Do not stay to peek!
Do not tell
Or you'll break a faery spell.

The Encyclopedia of Candlemaking Techniques by Sandie Lea is a good starter book.

Just for anyone who's interested...

I'm on Peak Candle's mailing list, and just received a coupon for 10% of, but it's only good through 9/18/09. I'm just throwing it out there in case anyone needs that many supplies. Too bad I just placed my big order a few weeks ago! They have nearly everything, and as I said I've been super happy. 10% isn't much, but I just wanted to throw this out there is anyone might be able to use it.

Oh, they also sell these little bottles for $0.60 each! They are the SAME ONES that everyone uses for their oils and such which sell for $3-$4 each elsewhere.

I use this company for everything except one kind of wick (cause they don't carry the super-light ones I need), and I have been super-happy with product quality, customer service, and speed of shipping. They are in CO, so orders to MT come FAST. They've always sent my orders out in 12-24 hours, but there is a note on the site today saying that processing time is currently 1-2 business days. Still not too bad. This is my pet peeve with pagan suppliers... You place an order, and a month later, you still haven't heard from them! One went out of business, and another (who advertises on these pagan/wiccan boards) has been weeks and won't even respond to my emails. Ridiculous. (Ok, ending rant. Sorry.)

Save 10% on orders of $100 or more when you enter the coupon code at checkout! This offer is not to be combined with other offers. This code is valid only for orders placed online between the dates of 9/11/09 and 9/18/09.

Coupon Code: endofsummer
Offer Expires: September 18th, 2009

No, I don't work for them or benefit in any way- I just am one who appreciates a balance of quality and cheap prices, and I like to share. If no one cares, please just tell me and I won't share anything like this in the future. This one is just good for the week anyway.

They also have excellent tutorials here.

I am disabled but recently have been making soaps, and when I get the money to start up I will be adding candles to the things I make to bring in some extra income. I get a small check to live on but it is usually gone by mid month and I rely heavily on the extra tasks I do to make money to live the last part of the month.

Greetings! I am new to the group and to candlemaking. I am sure to have questions along the way and am glad I found this group. I already have discovered some helpful information. I will create my first homeade candles this weekend. Blessings! )0(
