Hello Zennola - there is a lot of content in the discussions, feel free to chat about whatever or make specific inqueries on the wall as well. This is a pretty informal group.

You might want to try gardening. I find earth contact to be very, very helpful. Moving plants, planting seeds, weeding, mulching - basically get your hands in the dirt and its great. If it is 72, you can also just find a quiet place and lie down on the ground or the grass. Inside in colder weather you can repot some plants, take cuttings and pot those up, or just stick your fingers in the soil. Some people do well with water - great benefit when washing the dishes or an inspiration to do hand laundry now and then. LOL Sun works for others - set a chair or bed nearer to a window that gets direct sun and bask now and then. Candle meditation is another path - it all depends on what works for you and it might be time to experiment with some of them. Other paths are singing, weaving, spinning, painting or writing (ah, the journal again!) Me, I do not get restored by journaling, but writing fiction is a big way for me to recharge!

Hi Allison! For Firewater - remember than keeping a filter up helps protect you from some of the negative stuff other people throw off on others! In order to help, sometimes you need to be a little more protective of where your energy gets drawn (or tapped). Being too open can lead to incapacitation or at the least exhaustion. You need to recharge - find your recharging strategies and use them daily - more often if others around you are sharing their stresses with you. You have to recharge enough energy to share or it does not work. A few people can offer much support directly from their recharge position, so they do not become tapped out. Most of us need to take a break to recharge, though. 'The well-cared-for tool is the most useful' as they say - take time out for oiling and sharpening. ;)

Hello all! I'm new to the group and just wanted to drop a line. It's still pretty warm here in Texas. 69 right now. However, the leaves are turning brilliant colors and falling all over the place. Whenever I feel like I'm losing myself I write in my journal. Helps me connect with my emotions. I hope everyone has a good week!

It is a good poem to share with someone who feels a loss of someone they might have become...a little too attached to.
