Please can anyone help me I'd my tumblestone. It's kinda see through and looks like it has white clouds inside it and the overall colour looks blueish or greyish. Thanks.

I've seem ruby in zoisite many times and never understood what that was or what it meant. So I'm assuming zoisite is another stone that forms the matrix? Thanks ReNauMoon. So helpful!

How is everyone? This group has been quiet for so long. One of my favorite groups too. *heavy sigh*

The matrix itself is going to have properties as well. So, researching what the matrix is comprised of can further enhance the energies of the crystal/stone. A good example (in my opinion) can be Ruby in Zoisite. In this case the Zoisite could be considered the matrix of the Ruby.

Thank you ReNauMoon you say it so much nicer than I do!
Mi forgot to answer the there a difference between a stone & a stone in matrix. I don't think so. Just in size perhaps. I can't imagine why there would be a difference other than just the physical size etc. any thoughts on that?

The crystal can be on or in the matrix and yes, the matrix is what the crystal is attached to before it is mined. Some crystals still have matrix attached while others merely show a contact point where they had been attached. A crystal that shows no defined contact points is called a floater.

Wow. I'm late getting back here. So behind on everything. Sarahelisebeth as I understand it the matrix is just where the stone grows...almost like a natural container for the stone. That's a weird way to explain it but it's the best I can do right now. I like the stones still in their matrix, in the raw state. Course I like nice pretty polished jewelry too!

Anybody else got any info on this?

Hi Sarahelisebeth. Glad to see you found us. Good group here. Just ask some questions and peruse the discussions. I'll go see if I can find something on moonstone for you. I do know it is a very "feminine" stone and is good to use with sny female related health issues.

I have received a moonstone bracelet for Yule. The stones are black, peachy and greyish-clear. I'm hoping it aides me in love and protection.

It is indeed a sneaky rock Saulf! Or should I say rock that isn't really a rock...or is it not coral...blonde brain is confused again.

Happy Litha Saulf. It is Litha isn't'll be getting ready for the harvest soon. Enjoy! We're looking forward to the return of the light!
