The annual State of the Union address was given by President Barack Obama on Tuesday of January 25. When I was watching it on television, I saw something that did not happen in reality. As always, the sergeant of arms announced in a loud voice, “Mr. Speaker, the president of the United States!” after which the president is supposed to enter the chamber and walk to the podium up front. Immediately before that happened, however, what I saw was a black man enter, walk down the aisle, and shake hands all around as he went. It was explained by the CNN news commentators that this man was the head of the diplomatic corps, and he was from the country of Djehuti. When I heard that, I was surprised to learn that there was an African country with the same name as the Egyptian deity, Djehuti. A few moments later, President Obama was announced and he entered as he was supposed to, shook hands as he walked down the aisle, reached the podium, and then proceeded to deliver a fantastic State of the Union message.
For some reason it did not sink in until four days later that there is no country anywhere named Djehuti. Not only that, there is no such thing as a head of the diplomatic corps. That part of the State of the Union speech did not happen. Or, perhaps I should say that it happened, but only to me. THE BLACK MAN WALKING DOWN THE AISLE IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES AHEAD OF THE PRESIDENT WAS DJEHUTI! In reality, of course, Djehuti has no physical shape, but that was how my life was visually interpreting his energy at that point in time. On the other hand, it might be more accurate to say that was how Djehuti wanted to appear to me.
I did a playing card divination about it, asking if this was indeed a magical happening and that truly was Djehuti. I thoroughly shuffled my cards, and dealt five of them from the middle.
Joker: You travel the true path, do the right thing.
Ace of Hearts: There is union, contact.
Four of Hearts: You pamper or indulge yourself, and this is good.
Nine of Clubs: Something is helpful, facilitating, and useful.
Two of Hearts: Something improves, takes a turn for the better.
The first card was telling me that I was doing the right thing in terms of my daily devotions to Djehuti. The Ace of Hearts told me conclusively that the man I saw on television was indeed Djehuti. The fourth and fifth cards seemed to be telling me that through my continued devotions to Djehuti, things would be working out quite well for me.
It is not uncommon for Djehuti to appear to those who are devoting themselves to him, and when he does, it is often as a black man. Interestingly, my experience of seeing him on television included my seeing and hearing the CNN commentators talk about him too.
