Everyday Sacred

Rituals are wonderful, but life is more than special occasions. How do you make every day sacred? Or looked at another way, what everyday objects and activities are sacred to you?

Today I had the opportunity to meditate for a few hours as I had the house to myself. So I took the phone off the hook, and meditated. I also took the time that I was refusing to before, and looked for and found the positives in some situations that have come up for me recently. I enjoyed a hot shower, a cup of coffee, and the time spent taking care of myself and healing myself. There is much to be said about true alone time with no noises or distractions. Today was sacred because I took the time to reflect, to look inward but to also reestablish agreement with myself in how to best take care of myself and my relationship with the Goddess.
Time is what made today sacred to me today.

Jon Greywolf ~ There are indeed times when any page experiences a lag of activity. Unfortunately the downside of leading a busy life, or living a life that gets in the way of committments you have be it to a group, a meeting, etc etc. That being said I do believe that the owner of the group is taking a break from Paganspace. Keep an eye on the various discussions started and such as people will start posting again on a more regular basis shortly. That being said I'm glad to hear that you were able to find sacredness in your previous days. Each day is a gift just as life is. Never stop seeking the sacredness of an experience, or a day. Love, light and peace be with you!

Ok, I've got a question. Is this normal for this group - to have very little activity? Seems a little out-of-character for a group dedicated to the idea that each day is sacred to not talk about the sacredness of all things.

Why not talk about things like on Friday I took my sacred pipe into the badlands here and smoked it with Grandfather while thanking him for all the wonderful things in life and transforming my sister's stroke from what might have been serious to a minor stroke. Then yesterday I was up on the Big Horn Mtns and collected some Silver Sage, some Sacred Sage, and some Yarrow?

Just wondering aloud why such things are not mentioned in a place where the sacredness of each day is intended to be honored.

I attended the Gift of the Waters Pageant performed by the Shoshone Nation this evening and it was a beautiful reminder that every day is sacred; every day carries it's gifts of teaching and healing.

This philosophy is in keeping with those who walk the Good Red Road, to find the beauty in every moment of every day. May all who look for it, no matter their ideals, find what they seek.

We are all related - all 4-leggeds, 2-leggeds, winged, finned, rooted et. al.; we are all of Mother Earth and will return to her.
