So I see a lot of people are looking for quicker ways to lose weight. Some of the greatest ways to lose weight I have listed bellow.
1. Cutting out the soda!
Soda is bad for you it makes you bloat. It has a lot added Sugar and Sodium. "Oh but I drink diet soda so it's better for me." Bull shit (excuse my language) diet soda contains aspartame, and aspartame = bad for you. Bet you didn't know this aspartame was put before the FDA 8 times being denied each time. Aspartame can give you some serious issues and causes serious weight gain. Aspartame is bad for you don't put crap in your body! For those of you who say I need the soda the caffeine keeps me energized eat an apple. Apples are natures energy fruit they give you that added jolt you need to get your self going. I garentee by cutting out liquid Satan aka soda you will see a change in your scale.
2. Junk food!
Junk food addicts I know we all love our junk food, little Debbie's, Oreo's, Doritos's, pick your poison it doesn't matter junk food is junk. Most junk foods contain mono-sodium glutamate aka the ever so lovely MSG. What does MSG do? It makes you more hungry even when your not. Hmm not sure I want that in my food. Studies shown by the Mayo clinic show the many side affects of MSG.(
http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/monosodium-glutamate/AN01251). When you put garbage in your body you feel like garbage, like the old saying goes you are what you eat. Try switching to more healthier options like dried fruits, Baked potato chips if you really must have them, pretzels are also amazing, apple sauce in moderation, and whole wheat crackers with cheese.
3. Cut out the white rice and white pasta's!
Pasta is amazing it tastes good it can be very healthy when done the right way, and rice is full of so many vitamins when it's not white. Swap out your old white pasta and go for a whole wheat option it's better for you and tastes just as good. As for white rice, rice starts off as brown and then all vitamins are scraped off and it polished to make it white, then we pump it back up with vitamins to make it healthier, but really it's not. Trying eat brown rice instead. Brown rice is healthier for you and has less calories ;)
4. MEAT!!
I know a lot of us eat meat, I don't but as someone studying to be a dietitian I recommend eating more free range meats. Cut out the crap and the added hormones put into meat that make us so unhealthy. Free range means no added hormones or vitamins and the animals are free to roam.
5. Water is your friend!
The average person should drink between 8-11 glasses of water a day. A little something I have learned from the military is that you should drink 2 glasses of water at each of your major meals. It helps fill you up and helps digest food. Psst 90% of the time when your having a salt craving it means your dehydrated, your body wants some water. Listen to your body it knows what it needs.
6. Juice, Juice, Juicy Juice!
Juice, yeah everyone tells you juice is good for you, juice is great. And it is, juice is very good for you when you get the right kind. Do not drink juice from concentrate it's bad for you it's like drinking Hawaiian punch. Try to look for natural juices with out all the added crap usually found in the organic food section at your local market.
7.Aspartame, aspartame, aspartame!
I talked about this in soda a bit but this is also in other foods we eat. This evil little bugger is lurking in foods that we eat everyday and we don't realize it. Not only is Aspartame found in diet soda, but it is found in sugar free foods that have NutraSweet or Equal. So many people have been sicked by Aspartame that there are actually support groups for it's victims. This lovely chemical has 92 side effects including memory loss, nerve cell damage, reproductive disorders, migraines, menstrual confusion, blindness, joint pain, Alzheimer's, bloating, nervousness, hair loss, food cravings, and last but not least "weight gain". So cut out the Aspartame!
8. Calories Calories Calories!
A lot of us try cutting calories to lose weight which is great. The average human being needs 2000 calories a day. You wanna cut that down to 1500. "Omg that's so much less food! I need mah food" really you don't, 2000 calories is based on someone who exercises and is out there staying in shape, someone who is their correct body weight. And lets face it baby most of us are out of shape. Cutting calories alone doesn't just do it. And neither does low fat. When most people see the words "low fat" they think sweet this is gonna help on my diet. Well sorry to burst your bubble guys it's not always gonna help fat isn't necessarily bad for you but you need to eat the good fats. Yes there are good fats, you people probably think I am crazy -.-. The "bad" fats—saturated and trans fats, they increase the risk for certain diseases. The "good" fats—monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats they lower disease risk. The key to a healthy diet is to substitute good fats for bad fats and to avoid trans fats.
9 Exercise you fool! =D
No diet alone is going to make you lose weight you have to exercise, exercise, exercise! Cardio is the way to go (hey that rhymes), get your body moving try running at least 15 minutes a day. I know a lot of us are tired at the end of the work day but eat an apple and get your butt out there. =D.
10. Love your self!
The quickest way to weight loss is loving your self, and knowing that you aren't doing this to punish your self but to honor your body and take care of your self. Your body is a temple and you are not honoring it when you put all this crap in. So cut out the shit! Your body will thank you for it later.
