It is a myth that you shouldn't eat 3 hrs before going to sleep or you'll gain weight.
You can eat a snack 1 hr and 30 min before going sleep and your weight will not change.
This was mentioned in either the second or third season of the Tyra Banks Show and it came straight from Dr. Ian, who graduated from Harvard.
A woman has volunteered to try that theory for a week and her weight did not change. I myself had tried it for a while and my weight did not change. Surely, you should not eat a whole meal 3 hr before sleeping. But a light snack wouldn't kill you.

Well, I don't remember if it's an hour and 30 mins or 1 hr and 45 mins. But it's okay to eat a snack 1hr and 30/45 mins before bed. BUT NOT a whole meal.

It's okay to have a light snack like 1hr30/45 mins before bed.
Like a chocolate bar. Not a whole meal.
and the lighter the snack the better.
