Comment by Li on April 13, 2013 at 9:29am Johnhenry, also look into devil's claw and white willow bark.
Comment by nbdy on April 13, 2013 at 8:13am If it is muscular, look into arnica. If it is bone, look into ginseng. I say "look into" because your description is pretty vague and I don't know anything of your medical history, so look into it and see if it is good for you. Just suggestions, not a prescription. Hope you feel better soon.

Comment by Cindy Bidwell Glaze on April 10, 2013 at 10:41am Check the "Medicine - Herb/Food Interactions" discussion on this group. It will probably have something to help.
Comment by Pat Miller on April 9, 2013 at 7:18pm Lots of thing are bad news with blood thinners. I have no information about that.
Comment by William on April 9, 2013 at 6:54pm Thank you Pat. A suggested concern was that it might interact badly with blood thinning agents such as warfarin. Have you heard of that?
Comment by Pat Miller on April 9, 2013 at 6:25pm St. John's Wort is widely used in Europe and available in the US. The only down side is that it makes a person's skin Sun sensitive. Works great if not over done. It really doesn't take much and I really don't see any reason to combine it with the other herbs. Yes, I keep St. John's Wort in my vit/herb cabinet but don't use it during our hot and sunny Texas Summers. Do in Winter.
Comment by William on April 9, 2013 at 5:59pm Blessings Herb family all. Recently, I was asked for some natural sedative that could be taking in pill or capsule form. After research I suggested a blend of Skullcap, Kava and St Johns Wort. Although all three are common and used frequently for this purpose, a general medical practitioner almost went crazy over the thought of using St Johns Wort. Some thoughts would be appreciated, please.
Have you used St John. Do you have experience of this type of rejection. thanks muchly.
William
