I love HPL's work, I wish I had his amount of imagination to put into my writings. As hard as I try to stretch my mind it doesn't even begin to compare to the master.
Hail HPL

That's my video review of the new Dunwich Horror movie. Put it on youtube a month or two ago, whenever the thing aired on the Syfy channel.

Finally got to see the new version of "the Dunwich Horror"... Mush closer to the book than the original 1970 version was. Though it strayed off the path at many turns. It had a good HPL flavor (fishy), but making it take place in the year 2009 just ruins the original intention of the small farm village being terrorized by the eldrich monster. Cool creature effects (but CGI makes that very possible this day and age.) But I wish they had remained true to the original story. Hell, they can shoot a picture in Cali and with the right editing say it was set in Mass. And the "Lord of the Rings" movies proved you could have made a giant 8' tall Wilbur Whately out of a 6' Jeffrey Combs. Even if they had to edit him in later. Wasnt to thrilled with Dr. Armitage being a wizard with ghost-busting skills. And a whole host of other "characters" being pulled from different HPL stories.
Too bad there's not that much "good" HPL stuff out there... Seems the only good stuff is being made by the HPLHS. ah well...

Long time Lovecraft fan. I am fortunate to live very close to Providence and have visited his grave multiple times over the years.
