This is a simple question and I hope you don't mind I'll go ahead and ask... besides candle wax and katharmata, what would be an appropriate offering within reason and relatively inexpensive but heartfelt thing to give the Goddess? I just wonder... I know about Hecate suppers and have never held one, but besides that any advice would be appreciated. Thanks ever so much. Blessings, Jackie

Many herbs and plants are associated with Hecate, including garlic, almonds, lavender, myrrh, mugwort, cardamon, mint, dandelion, hellebore, and lesser celandine. Several poisons and hallucinogens are linked to Hecate, including belladonna, hemlock, mandrake, aconite (known as hecateis), and opium poppy. You can use some of these to make an incense and burn it along with a candle at a crossroads or a homemade representation of one and stay and meditate on the Goddess while the smoke is wafting all around you. It's a wonderful way to connect with Her.

Thank you, I hav e mugwort mint and lavender. I never knew that about those herbs. I have made a small goddess shrine to her in my house and wanted to make it special and remember the mother of magic with an offering. :)She helps me alot.

I like to leave out a plate at my crossroads with a small black candle burning. I leave out some garlic, egg, cheese, onion, honey, and almonds. And also some herbs like Lavender, mugwort, dandelion, mint, and myrrh. And I of course do a little prayer/ritual at the time I leave it. I built a crossroads in my backyard last year and at night with a full moon, or a dark moon, it just looks awesome. I have it all lit up with solar lights so I can walk different paths and mediate as well.

I burn willow, mugwort and wormwood. I also offer her olives, ghost cheese, olive oil and blood (sometimes my own, sometimes menstrual, sometimes from meat that I eat).

Some items that I would offer Hecate include the stone bloodstone, flowers; daffodils and violets. A great book is D.J. Conway's "Moon Magick". She has some great rituals pertaining to Hecate at different moon phases, with items you can place on your altar in honor of Her. Hecate, has been one of my patron Goddesses for over 12 years now. I love her for her strength and fortitude. One of her stories, has to do with her leading Kore(Persephone) through the Underworld safely. Hope this helps a little. Blessed Be!
