This is a simple question and I hope you don't mind I'll go ahead and ask... besides candle wax and katharmata, what would be an appropriate offering within reason and relatively inexpensive but heartfelt thing to give the Goddess? I just wonder... I know about Hecate suppers and have never held one, but besides that any advice would be appreciated. Thanks ever so much. Blessings, Jackie
The traditional offering to Ekate apart from candles, coins and incense is a black dog. I would recommend burying a black dog figurine at a major cross road in your home city and placing a high value coin on top of the spot.
I know its a little politically incorrect but blood has always been a traditional and very effective offering to Hecate. Just a little blood from the palm....or menstrual blood if youre a woman poured over a hole dug up in the ground near a graveyard or at a crossroads....or maybe in your backyard. Add with some red wine, virgin oil or honey.....
Good morning folks, i just wanted to add that i petition Hecate alot and this is why i wanted to know so i could give back. I really apprecite the fine answers i ve received. Much love, Jackie.
Im sure with all of these suggestions your'e going to have a lot of stuff to give. Im sure that the Goddess will appreciate them. Put in a good word for me when you speak to Her. : )
