The Eleusinian Mysteries Rosary

Here is the Rosary to Demeter, Persephone, and Hekate.

It was formed by Christo-Pagan Megan Williams.

During the early stages on making the Rosary to Isis, I had been looking for an already made pagan rosary.

I made an earlier discussion called the Goddess Mysteries, hoping to gather ideas, and one person suggested that I check out the Eleusinian Mysteries, also leading me to this Eleusinian Mysteries Rosary.

I, myself, enjoy this meditation/prayers-system and feel closer to Goddess everytime I pray the Eleusinian Mysteries.

The Eleusinian Mysteries Rosary

To Say the Eleusinian Mysteries Rosary
Say the Eleusinian Creed.
Say one Our Lady Demeter.
Say three Hail Persephones.
Say one Glory Be then announce the first of series of Mysteries (Joyful, Sorrowful, or Glorious) to meditated on, and say one Our Lady Demeter.
Say ten Hail Persephones while meditating on the first mystery.
Say one Glory Be, before the Our Lady Demeter Bead.
Say one Our Lady Demeter, and repeat with the second mystery, repeating the cycle til all 5 mysteries have been recited.
Say the Prayer on the medal, ending the recitation of the Eleusinian Rosary.

The Mysteries of the Eleusinian Mysteries Rosary
Joyful Mysteries
>Demeter, the Goddess of Fertility and Agriculture, makes the earth to grow in abundance, and the earth is a paradise all year round.
>Demeter teaches humans what is good to gather for food.
>Birth of Kore, the Maiden, Demeter's Daughter.
>Demeter and Persephone wander the earth in contentment in their love for one another.
>Persephone goes and picks flowers for her mother.

Sorrowful Mysteries

>Kore is taken from her mother to the Underworld by Hades.
>Kore eats 6 seeds of the pomegranate, causing winter to happen on earth.
>Hekate hears Kore cry out at the cross roads as she is taken.
>Demeter searches 9 days and nights for her daughter.
>The earth dies as Demeter is not tending to it.

Glorious Mysteries

>Kore, now called Persephone is rescued from the Underworld by Hekate.
>Zeus' Decree that Persephone gets to split her time in the Underworld and the World of the Living.
>Demeter teaches the humans how to grow their own food and store it for the winter, when she is in sorrow for her lost daughter and the earth will not grow.
>Persephone becomes Queen of the Underworld.
>Persephone becomes the Goddess of Death and Rebirth.



Prayers for of the Eleusinian Mysteries Rosary

The Eleusinian Creed (Prayer on the Crucifix/Terminal)
I recite this Rosary in Honor of the Goddess Demeter,
Queen of the Green and Growing Earth
And her Daughter, Kore-Persephone, The Maiden of the Dew, and the Dark Queen of Hades, Goddesses
of Life, Death and Rebirth
I believe in their Compassion, Love and Strength,
Which are to be emulated in the cycles of our own lives
Now and Forever
So Mote it Be


Our Lady Demeter Prayer
Our Lady Demeter, Who are in Earth
Blessed, Holy, Beautiful Thy Name
Thy Holy Realm is all around
Thy Presence art in the Ground
Give us this Day strength, love and courage
Remind of these as this day we endure
Deliver us from despair and fear
Remind us that our goals are near
