Welcome to my little group.

Merry Meet, I am so glad you found me. I wanted to start this little group to help others make great gifts for their friends and family, and maybe keep some for themselves but shhhh no one will tell. Anyway, This is a place to add home made recipies.

A little about me, I have an online shop that I make home made blessed bath suplys and more. I think that the companys are ripping people off, so I wanted to share some of my recipies. If you have one to share add it. I look forward to seeing post and maybe learning something I didn't before.

Blessed Be,
Rowan

Not a beauty product but had o share.

Late weekend my 14 yr old had a fever of 104.8. She was on the tylonel/ motron rotation for 12 hrs with no result. I came accross a old wives remedy page that said to rub onions on the feet to bring down a temp. So when she got in her 3rd bath I rubbed onions on her feet and left them in the tub with her. by The time she got out, about 20 min, her fever was down to 100 and was almost normal within and hr.

Fevers in children can be scary so I thought I would share this with all the crap going around right now.

Christina not sure how old your kids are but soap making the traditional way with Lye is not really an activity for children it can be very dangerous even deadly, keep an eye out for melt and pour soap that doesn't sweat would be the best option, then it's just a matter of melting your soap and adding any milk/Essential oils/colouring/botanicals you want :-) or you could buy already made soap, hand mill it and add whatever you want, hand milling is a great way to make soap balls :-)

Jackie have you tried blending a cuccumber and using it as a face mask? It helps cool the skin, the heat is what causes the MASK

Oh,I can't wait to dig into this site! 'Natural Beauty' by Janice Cox is a great book with so many fantastic ideas. Also, the author Joey Green has SO much fun stuff. His books are also good for making beauty supplies out of things you already have in your home.

Looking for hair recipe! I have wavy/curly/frizzy/chemically treated (I keep my hair nice and dark with a bit of white bleach for fun)/dry hair. I was using Burts Bees Avocado treatment as curly enhancer and frizz tamer, but I recently found that the company was sold to Clorox. Now, I will not be purchasing anymore from that company. Would love it if someone had a recipe that would help my hair stay curly, tame frizz and moisturize.

another thing i like to do is to put a few drops of an EO - usually lavender or sandalwood in some baking soda and use this to exfoliate. just make sure you use it on damp or oiled skin! it is also best to use an acidic toner (acv 1/2 and half with water and some EO is great) with baking soda to restore your pH
