Hello everyone. It's been a while. I'm very busy with my own group in Indiana and don't take much time for Pagan Space.
My own spiritual inclination has changed ever-so-slightly. I used to call myself IndoPagan. I now call myself Shakti Wiccan. It makes very little difference in my daily practice but the name does explain who I am much more thoroughly. I am still a follower of Sri Ramana Maharshi and of course Durga(Shakti) and Shiva.
According to Sri Ramana, a diet that includes red meat results in an over-active mind. There are other food items that you can eat that help instill a quiet mind. Foods such as dairy products, vegetables, and fruit. If you cannot eat grains and legumes, you should be able to have a good diet and plenty of food to eat without meat.

has anyone noticed if the Vedic deities mind if one eats organic free range red meat? I have no choice as i am on a special diet to control a health issue; i can not eat any grains nor most legumes, i must avoid them. i know the yoga chanting group i hang out with, would wish i was vegan but they let me hang out anyway (i bring the singing bowls and the walnuts). i have been starting to get to know Ganesha and feel His acceptance but i feel ackward about my diet. thank you ... danse vajranagini
