Happy New Year 2015

Hi, Sydney! Nice to meet you.

I'm not sure what the current thinking on this book is, but back in the day Drawing Down the Moon was a go to resource for an overview of modern paganisms. A revised edition came out in 2006--I haven't read it, but an update was needed (original publication was 1979). I may have stuck my scholarly neck out, but that's my recommendation for now. If I think of anything else, I'll pass it along.

What have you read/watched/learned about up to now?

Hi All,

I am new to this whole Pagan thing. I've done a little research throughout the years, but never too in depth. I am looking for someone to help teach me and find my way. Any help from books to read, to websites, to personal stories. I would really appreciate it.

Blessed be,

Hi Everyone!

Now that the sun is getting higher in the sky and the temperatures are FINALLY starting to rise above... like... absolute zero, we are ramping up for this year's Summerland Spirit Festival.

One of the events that we have each year is a community burlesque show, where most of the attendees of the festival put on whatever crazy outfit they can come up with and dance. It's a total fun PG kind of thing that includes participants of all ages and body types. It is hilarious!

We hope that some of you decide to come check us out. It's a great community of people who come from about a dozen different states in he Midwest region. You will have a blast.

Many Blessings!

I know we may be in different cities but I believer in networking with our community, locally and all over the world.

I am spending the day telling our community about PaganFaire2014. It’s going to be a great event. Starting at 10:00 am until 5:00 pm, there will be Hawaiian food from Ohana’s; a all day talent stage (belly dancers, Celtic music, etc.); Pagan/Wiccan artisans, and a wonderful Spring Equinox Ritual at the end of the day, 7:00 pm.

“Diana’s Silver Daughter: Aradia in the 21st. Century!”

If you are in the Portland Oregon area (or you know someone who will be) come to PaganFaire2014 and connect, or reconnect, with your community. This is a wonderful way to show support and practice our spirituality.

The more we go to these fairs and buy from our folks, the more we can avoid being or supporting the corporate world!

If you would like to vend at the fair:

Please help spread the word about PaganFaire2014! No matter where you live, post this and share it with everyone.

Blessed be, Jamie Okulam

PS When you visit the fair, come up and introduce yourself to me so I can say Hi!

Hi Everyone!

Thanks for letting us join your group.  We are a community of Pagans who run a very cool festival in July in Wisconsin.  We have created a community where people come from all over the midwest to learn from each other and have a communal spiritual experience in nature.

This year we are going to be joined by Wendy Rule, Beltana Spellsinger, Brian Henke, Steven Posch, Teri Leigh, and a host of other really amazing presenters and musicians.

We know that many of you are not from the midwest, but for those who are, please take a moment to check out our community.

We hope to have the chance to meet you. :-)

Hi everyone, I'm very new to this, only a couple of months. I can't wait to meet and talk to like minded people. I am the only non-christian that I know and can't wait to meet others.

A local coven is offering a class.  It's not my coven, but I know them.

"We of the Coven Daoine Sidhe will present a 14-week overview of British Traditional Wicca on Wednesday evenings from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. All are welcome. There will be lectures, guided meditations, and two informal rituals. Each evening, we'll review the previous week's material for an hour, take a snack break and then delve into the new topic for the week. The weekly class fee of $10.00 goes directly to the Sacred Well for rental of their space -- not to us.

The Sacred Well is located at 536 Grand Avenue in Oakland , close by highway 580. The 19th Street Oakland BART station is about a mile's walk or bike ride."
