Hello.

My name is Erick, but I also go by the name WhiteFae. I'm posting on here to look for other like-minded Pagans/Wiccans. I've been interested in Wicca since I was 13, and am now 24. I was raised and baptized Christian, and I loved it. I thought I was God's special person, but things changed when I started to understand myself more. I'm gay, and although not every Christian hates homosexuals - the Bible still states it's gay-hate. I felt betrayed, unsafe, and unhappy. I was always a fan of Mythology, and actually believed in the Deities even as a Christian. I just accepted all truths. I also loved any Fantasy story, hiding in each story - convinced that all fantastical things can exist with just a little belief and faith. Then, with shows like Buffy and Charmed, and movies like Practical Magic and The Craft - the idea of Witchcraft took over my life. Every day I was in the Library, I was researching as much as I could. I was beyond intrigued. Then, when I was 14 - I did a self-initiation Ritual in my bedroom. I've had two Wiccan friends at the time, but sadly their passion for the Craft died down. Mine only continued burning, although I took some minor breaks over the year, but always talked to the Lord and Lady. Within the past two years, I've been headstrong in my researching and I'm now looking for other people who want to learn with someone else. I'm not looking for a Coven, but if a Coven is interested in me, I would love to learn more about your Coven. If a Pagan or Wiccan is interested in talking, then please message me, email me, text me, facebook me, smoke signal me, even owl me! I can't really travel outside of the Rochester, New York area, but I also wouldn't mind a long distance friend either.

Some of my passions are Herbalism (Kitchen Witchery), Divination (Mostly Runes right now ), and Healing (Reiki interests me).

Pearls of Wisdom: Lecture and book signing by James Eshelman

New York City
Sept. 22nd. 2013 from 5:30 - 8:00 pm
Altered Stages 212 W 29th St. 3rd Floor

Pearls of Wisdom: Gems From the Journal Black Pearl by James A. Jim Eshelman"A Black Pearl of Infinite Preciousness"

James A. Eshelman has been a writer and teacher of metaphysical subjects for over 40 years. He is the Chancellor of the College of Thelema and the Prolocutor General of the Temple of Thelema.

"Seek the New in the Old ~ Seek the Old in the New." That was the motto ofBlack Pearl, College of Thelema's biannual journal published 1997-2002. Author James A. Eshelman contributed 100 articles during one of the most prolific periods of his career. This anthology gathers over 40 essays, many of them substantially updated and expanded, and some of them never previously published.
Pearls of Wisdom "seeks the new in the old" through a magnificent cache of wisdom teachings from one of Thelema's most insightful, creative teachers.
This is the "director's cut" of Black Pearl and more!
An Introduction to Thelema the ground shifting world-view of Aleister Crowley explains Thelema's core principles of Will, Love, and Star, then expands on the nature of True Will and Love Under Will; Thelema's pantheon of gods; and theNew Era of Aspiration now opening before us. The rest of the book is organized in 7 parts:
It's in the Basics + Magick + Qabalah + Thelema
Sexual Mysteries + Holy Guardian Angel + The Path

For example, one section ("Magick") explores a dozen topics of ceremonial magick, including traditional and newer forms of the pentagram and hexagram rituals, Sun adorations, new adaptations of classic initiation rites, the ancient art of evocation, and a new ritual for becoming a purer reflection of your deepest spiritual ideal. Chapter 32, The Magical Record of Brother Proserpinus, is a modern tale of a brother of A.'.A.'. who undertook the Great Work and succeeded. Four times the size of excerpts published in Black Pearl, this is the centerpiece of the book.

$8 admission, or free admission with purchase of book.
