Just wondered if I have any fellow Nanoers on the site with me. I have done it for five years straight and LOVE it as a method for writing. My first two Nano's are published, the third is awaiting final revision, the fourth is sitting on haitus until I can get back to it, and the fifth is open on my desktop right now as I'm editing. I hope to publish it this summer.
The support is pretty wonderful! That last week when everyone is pulling their hair out is the best week ever. I haven't read the book yet. I have been meaning too. I guess I need to get it before this years starts up. LOL
I highly recommend the book. You really only need to read the first half or so, the last half is just a process for doing Nano if you were doing it by yourself instead of in November.
Yes I do it, It is the one month of the year that gets my butt in gear to get writing done. :) For me it has been 4 years, this year will make it 5.
Right now though I am doing their Script Frenzy which is kind of interesting taking a story that I have written in NaNo and then putting it into screenplay format. Challenging especially if you are doing the formatting without aid of software.
I've heard that about Script Frenzy. I have a friend doing it and she is using software this year, she just couldn't keep up with it last year. I think she's moving along fine, she keeps me posted on her progress. SF doesn't interest me, but I'm a Nano fanatic!
Ya well it is not for everyone that is for sure. All the stories I have done for Nano so far are all screenplay ideas as well. One animation the other tv series or movie ideas. So NaNo and SF keep me on my toes :D And as for the software I think I am doing that next year. The first time I did it without software and it was a real pain lol :D
I do it. I hope I have time to do it again this year. Last year I thought I wasn't going to make it; I had papers due for classes all of the last week.

Wow congrats on having you're nano novels published!
I've done Nano for three years now and i love every insane minute of it.
My latest one was actually a pagan themed romantic comedy, definately not publish worthy but very dear to my heart none the less. ^_^
This will be my seventh year to do NaNo. I also enjoy it. Though I don't have a story idea yet for this year. I usually have narrowed it down to one or two by now.
I also write fan fiction and seem to be stalled there as well. Maybe I am just in a slump right now.
If I could get get a better computer so I could loaded Dragon Naturally Speaking, then I could knit and write at the same time. :)
