Does anyone know if there's a witches ball taking place in Akron/Canton?
Joshua Scott Witsaman Comment by Joshua Scott Witsaman on August 20, 2009 at 12:04am
Hello. From Akron, and have always been interested in the occult. I have been regularly studying it for about 5 years. I am interested in finding local pagan groups to learn from and share experiences with. Feel free to contact me for more information.

Hi, I have been on PS for a little over 2 years. I was known as Dragonwulf and Bearcat then. I have made a new profile to reflect the changes I have gone through lately, and am much happier with it and myself. I live in Trenton, Ohio... Near Middletown.
I would love to meet some friends in my area!

Returning from last year we will be featuring Altarscapes (see the photo albumn at the myspace page). This is an opportunity for folks to see different ways altars are set up. Security will be present at all times so no one can pocket or touch altars.

Art Exhibit

New this year, we will have a large tent set up for an Art Exhibition. We are looking for Pagan artists to display their work. Security will be on staff to watch this area closely so you do not have to worry about fingers touching or walking off with your work. If you are interested in displaying your work, let Raven know asap!

The most important part of Pagan Pride Day is to get together with like minded individuals and celebrate our religion, our friendships, to make more friends, and maybe even reconnect with old friends.

Food!!!!

Of course there will be food! We will have hot dogs, snow cones (sugar free will be available for diabetics and those who can't have sugary stuffs), a cotton candy machine, drinks, a bake sale to raise money for Welcome House, and more will be announced in the future.

Charity

We will be collecting winter coats, canned goods, personal hygiene products and school supplies for Welcome House located in Covington, Kentucky. If you don't know about the wonderful things Welcome House does, please visit their website at http://www.welcomeh ouseky.org/

Gaia Works will be returning this year and they have asked us to announce that there is a HUGE need of supplies for our Pagan troops overseas. Gaia Works is asking for the following items to make care packages for our brothers and sisters serving our country: books, candles, alter items, incense, herbs, oils. small pads and pens, playing cards, puzzle books and hand signed Thank You cards.

Look for Information Booths from the Pagan Education Network (PEN) and also Gaia Works.

I am looking to form a new Grove in the Columbus area...

A teaching and working group... Eclectic but with leanings towards traditional British (pre-Wicca) Paganism, Celtic, Druid, Faerie and Shamanic paths...

It is a place for forging lifelong friendships, for your voice to be heard, for you to fan your flame and to find yourself...

The Grove will come together twice monthly to grow, learn and share, where everyone has a part in the ritual, and will take turns leading the group...

The Grove will be a place where all nature-based traditions can be respected and honored, and I strongly believe that dogma of any kind can be detrimental to true spiritual growth, everyone's path should be unique to the individual and we seek to follow a more personal path in our faiths...

This Grove will suit beginners, those wanting to explore other paths, traditions and relationships with chosen deity in a more personal way, or those who have never participated in a formal coven/circle/grove/hearth...

Though whether you are new to the Craft, or have experience as either a solitary or in a coven, I am interested in hearing from you, and will respond to all serious inquiries...

Mentoring and teaching is available..
