So perfect to find a group of kindred folk...It is both a gift and a bit trying to walk this world with an other-soul hidden within material flesh. Thanks for providing a place to connect with one another, a chance to slide out of the skin and unfurl those wings and ears:)

I'm intrigued, although not an "otherkin" (by your definition) myself. I was always under the impression that otherkin was not limited to fairies, but weres, vamps, elves, and all other sorts of humanoid "mythological creatures."

Hi. I a a pragmatic otherkin. I tend to hang around the elves because I see to be ore like them than any others. I've used the term "dark elf" to describe myself, but a more accurate descriptions might be something like "lighting mixed with rock spirit or something". I've recently hit upon associations with lighting, molten metal and rock, the forge and the cosmic smith archetype. I am not certain of anything, but connections and motifs in my life are heading in that direction. I may not be otherkin, after all. I just don't know. I don't have an opinion about past lives. It is very possible, however, my ideas of otherkin henge on a bit of animism and nonlocallity of concsiousness. An essence or soul could, through the natural life cycle, be transfered to any number of things. The enssences mingle into perhaps a single being, maybe a human, and perhaps that human remembers other "lives", if you will. Just an idea I've been running with for a while.

My hope is that I can contribute as well as learn. I've been around the community and have made some mistakes of my own, so I hope that I can help others along in their awakening and make it less stressful and more fruitful. I see things the kin community could improve upon as well as things we are doing well at, as a whole. I hope we can all contribute to the spiritual progression of one another, help each other to help ourselves and all that.

Does anyone know a way I can remember things from a past life? I have few memories and my curiosity yearns to know more.
I have tried dream pillows, guided meditations, books, etc... and nothing happens.... maybe I am concentrating too hard... but I just really want to know more....
