OtherKin

I hope that there are other 'Kin on here, because we are rare, and it seems pagans hold on to the fairy-stuff better than other people. If you're out there, let me know!

I'm going to have to agree with Celticlass on this one. I also think they were defeated in battle and forced to move into the mounds because the Mileasians were just too powerful for them. From my past life memories as Draena, a Tuatha de Danaan, it took a number of years and battles before they decided their best option at survival was to go into the sidhe. Sometimes I would sneak up to the surface and wonder the moors, day or night, because I loved them so and enjoyed the beauty they give in both sunlight and moonlight.

AGAIN,where do you get your informatiion from,I'm truely asking ...because any of us that have worked, studied and align with the TUATHA DE DANAAN....for many years and lives, would not see it as you do. I am familiar with several NEW AGE books on the Tuatha which teach,as i believe you are saying, but it is NOT the way of us of the Irish blood, our lore, myths, what has been passed down to us. I'm not trying to put you on the spot, but as I have educated, lectured, written pieces on the Tuatha de Danaan for close to 40 years,it IS my area of expertise. There were many, many battles with many tribes and the TUATHA did NOT willingly choose to go into the faerie realm,it was an alternate choice between becoming powerful spiritual entites or being destroyed. There is common agreement on this and many issues with the Tuatha de Danaan, that many of us agree on. I see you are 19,so just beginning your journey. i would cautiion you not to believe all the New Age books on the Tuatha de Danaan or see it as "facts"....We have an ongoing discussion on my group FEISTY WITCHES,on the FEY,you are welcome to participate in.

The Tuathe de danaan or sidhe ... were true recendensient of Ireland before human interfer. And with such inteface came forth a batt;e later on they decide to draw back from the human world to the hollow hills or whatever you wish to call it.. They did not reced do to humans being powerful.. No if they wanted they could defiet them.. the true reason of them going is unsure and every one i speak to has a different reason for them receding.

You conversate with whom? The TUATHA de DANAAN? Well, how excellent, indeed. I am aligned with them myself for many years in this life,as I have been in others and Walk between realms, also. As they are in the Spiritual realm, dates, time, linear time especially relates little to any spiritual entities,I've found. I'm still interested in the time line, however, from when you believe the mighty warriors of Ireland arrived in Ireland and then went into the Faerie realm......the term SIDHE is the hills themselves and only recently ,in New Age thinking,as been translated to mean the Sidhe as equating with the FEY themselves,so I dont refer to the Tuatha as such myself. My Irish Gran from Galway,Ireland,we believe, was a direct physical line to the Tuatha before they became Fey and we are of Fey blood physically and spiritually also. Can we prove it? Of course not......so how long do you see it from the mighty warriors of OLDE in Ireland ,from arrival, that some believe on BELTANE,to becoming FEY? The myths, tales, lore, shared dream visions of others that align with the TUATHA,I have known over the years, see it as hundreds of years and many battles. WHY,also do you believe the Melesiens came to Ireland on Beltane? And how much earlier than the Tuatha did they come.? Our belief,in my line,is it was quite a few years.

Interesting......Can you cite, pherhaps what you base this on? It is a common belief that the Irish Tuatha de Danaan, arrived on the shores of Ancient Ireland on May 1,some say from Atlanttus,Some say from another planet, some from the Black Sea area......but in the physical form of the physical warriors. They fought many, many years WITH the Milesians,Fomorians and other tribes before becoming the mighty warrior fey and I had not heard there was a date when they went into the sidhe. The full moon is also May 6......

Happy Beltane.. For those who do celebrate it.. The only aspect I acknowledge of this holy day is when The Milesain celtic came to Scottland around about this day and not long after did the Tuathe De Danann Went into the Hollow Hills. So Take time and breath in the summer.. And those who are in C.O.T. Will be holding a special lesson tonight!

Welcoem Netherpuppy. I like your name! :D I hope you can find some friendships here too. We're a quiet Otherkin group but I hope to change that by getting more people to interact.
