What we are about...

Hail and Welcome!

This is a group designed to inform, discuss, and protect our most precious gift: children. Anyone who would like to post information about protecting children from any form of abuse, warnings about convicted predators/abusers that are on the loose, questions about how to keep children safe and spot problems with adults in the child's life, information on missing and exploited children, etc.... is free to do so. You are also more than welcome to share your own ordeals if you, yourself, are a survivor. There is a topic titled "Survivor Stories" for this purpose.

I would like for everyone to tell the rest of the group about themselves in the INTRODUCTIONS thread. You can also read about fellow members there. I think it is important for each of us to know a bit about those we are fighting alongside. It's important for a community to know one another.

There are a couple of simple rules that are designed to keep this forum a safe haven for all involved and all who pass by and may need guidance or help:

RESPECT: Please be respectful of others. This is NOT a debate forum. This is a place where child safety comes FIRST. Regardless of differences of opinions elsewhere, most people can agree that the safety of children is more important. Following this simple rule will help to keep things civil.

Because there will be minors in this group, no form of pornographic imagery or obscene language will be permitted. Also, please refrain from cursing a lot. All pornographic images and obscene language will be deleted. Anyone breaking this rule will be banned. This is the only warning.

Please refrain from posting anything of a sexual nature anywhere within this group. If a discussion having to do with abuse makes any such information absolutely necessary, please place a warning note at the top of the page. (Eg. "Warning: This post contains content that may not be suitable for minors.") I apologize if anyone doesn't like this rule, but there are minors here, and will likely be more.

Also, anyone posting any discussions, comments, or anything in this group that is pro-pedophilia or pro-any form of abuse, will be immediately banned from the network. This is the only warning.

ACCUSATIONS: PLEASE do NOT post comments accusing anyone of being a child abuser unless that person has been tried and convicted. We are not judges, jurors, or executioners. This is an awareness and support group only. This is not a lynch mob. Lynch mob mentality will not be allowed or condoned. We are not part of any branch of law enforcement. If you have proof that anyone is abusing a child, please, please bring it to local law enforcement. I can not stress this point enough.

If you suspect someone of being a predator, and don't know what steps to take, please contact me directly through this site's email service. Fill me in on all the details you have available. If I don't know the answers, I can usually get it for you fairly quickly through networking contacts.

I'm sorry if rules bother you, but they are only to keep things civil, on course with child abuse awareness, and safe from lawsuits. These rules are merely in everyone's best interest, so please abide by them.

Please note: This group is a continuation of the work done by Nightshadow and Rain. I've agreed to take over ownership and administration of this group at their request because I feel it is so important. We need to keep our children safe. We need more groups like this. In an effort to get the word out, I have copied this group in several different networking sites on the web.

For those folks that you are uncomfortable inviting to a Pagan group, feel free to copy and paste any of the information that is original to this website into an email to them, or email links to sites we've linked to. The more people that have this information, the fewer victims there will be! I firmly believe this. The child of an informed parent is a safer child. Even the children of others around you will be safer for having one more aware person around them. The main purpose of this group is to spread the word, to inform others of tactics used by child predators. The more people arm themselves with the facts and ways to combat this problem, the safer all of our children will be.

Welcome! I'm glad you're here. You're a wonderful grandparent for taking care of your grandchildren. Not everyone will do that, and not everyone has the stamina, even if it to protect them. I'm sorry to hear about your granddaughter. :(

A couple of things that everyone can do:
Read the "grooming articles" that are being posted by Evie.
Then: Pay Attention.
These are things that we take notice of ourselves, but some guidelines:
If you see adult members befriending teen members (or children), let us know. If you see adult members leaving flirtatious comments on the pages of teen members, or in answer to the posts of teen members, let us know. Even if you notice this behavior on other sites, we will be more than happy to check it out and report it to law enforcement if it seems appropriate to do so.

One of the reasons I'd like everyone's help with this is because these are typical grooming tactics used by predators online. This behavior should also be reported to Starrfire, since she is the owner of this site and such behavior will effect her directly, but Evie (PACA admin) has direct contacts with the Center for Missing and Exploited Children and the FBI, and we can make sure that something is done if the situation warrants it.

Please note: I am not posting this to start a "witch hunt" (btw, hate that term being used in this context... can we all agree to stop comparing a spiritual path with pedophilia???) What I am asking is for everyone to read up on the grooming information that Evie is posting, and the grooming articles posted on WFI, and report any suspicious behavior to me or Evie.

I should also note that we have noticed, as have several other PACA members, that this behavior happens quite a bit here on PaganSpace. When we see this behavior, we do pay close attention. We take screenshots when necessary. And if we find the situation warrants it, we do report it LE.
