Couple of days ago a good freind Sabrina The Ink Witch had an Article up about "Pagan Movies" I talk to her about this idea and she thought it was a great idea to have a group and If you're a movie buff like me - you're probably also drawn to movies that center on some form of paganism...right?
Well here I thought we share the movies we all love and seen. I know there got to be some out there that haven't seen alot of these movies. I for one haven't seen a few that was sayed in the Article. So get you drink and popcarn , candy , nachos or what ever and let hear about and talk about your fav movie.

I love the movie Thirteen ghosts. The original and the remake! If you haven't watched it I highly recommend it. And I love the Warlock movies that came out during the late 80s early 90s. And there was a tv show that you can find on dvd now called Robin of Sherwood that explores Robin hood as the son of Hern. It is great!

I am absolutely enthralled with horror movies. Ghost, demonic, any kind of paranormal or movies with witches in it. I can't get enough.

Okay who brought the popcorn? So what are some favorites out there some of mine "The Wicker Man" THE ORIGINAL! I wonder did they pay Nicholas Cage Double for the remake? "Abbot and Costello meet Frankenstein" "The Night of The Living Dead" yes I love horror films, the old Universal classics, The glorious Hammer Films, Oh of all the Masters only Chris Lee still walks among us, so if anyone would like to talk great old horror, I'm not into the splatter flicks, there is such a thing called story and yes Vincent Price, who although made a variety of films was best known for his work in horror, thank you-Joe

Apocalypto is a Mel Gibson directed movie that goes for 138 mins.
Brilliant veiw into Mayan Society before the conquestadores.
Complete with greusome hearts pumping outside of the body and heads rolling down the ziggurat.

This movie begins with a band of brothers hunting a tapir. They seemed to be very happy, enjoy each other's company and even engage in a fratboy style of communal fun. They are interrupted by a migration of other villagers whom have been attacked and run off their land. This visit sits in the mind of Jaguar Paw(Rudy Youngblood). At the village he wakes one morning to find a band of Mayan soldiers attacking his settlement. He rushes his pregnant wife and young son into a deep hole for insurance of safety. He is captured(as are all of the surviving adults). They are tied to bamboo poles and forced to walk through perilous terrain to the Mayan civilization. On this journey they encounter a young girl who delivers an omen to the Mayan soldiers that one of their captives will bring them all to their end. Upon arrival at the Mayan civilization the women are sold into slavery and the men are to be offered as a sacrifice to the Mayan Gods. Jaguar Paw was saved only by an eclipse and was eventually able to escape to freedom, but not until after he killed the Mayan general's son. The Mayan soldiers chase Jaguar Paw through corn field, the jungle, over waterfalls, etc. He is able to eliminate them slowly throughout this process. He arrives back to retrieve his wife(whom had given birthin the hole) and his son(s).

Over the weekend I watch a movie called Gravedancers. I was shock by it and it was so good! Even though it was made in 2006 I never heard of it. Dominic Purcell play the head Vampire in Blade #3..

After a night of drunken exploits, Allison, Harris, and Kira are chased and terrorized by the ghosts of a child pyromaniac, an ax murderer, and a rapist.
After the funeral of a old friend who died in a car accident, former school friends Harris, Kira, and Sid break into the local cemetery after dark, and after Sid reads a mysterious incantation he finds on one of the nearby tombstones, they dance on the graves. Soon, the three of them find themselves haunted by three different ghosts whose graves they desecrated. Harris and his wife Allison find themselves haunted by a deranged female pianist/ax murdered. Sid gets haunted by a child pyromaniac. And Kira haunted by a sadistic rapist. All of them turn to a paranormal investigator named Vincent Cochet and his assistant Frances to try to help them break the curse they imposed on themselves before the next full moon when they will be killed by the ghosts wrath. Written by matt-282

The former friends Harris, Kira and Sid reunite for drinking after the funeral service of an old friend that died in a car accident. When the bar closes, Sid proposes to go to the Cresent View Cemetery to say farewell to his friend and drink more. Once there, Sid finds a letter in a tombstone, reads it and they dance on three graves. On the next days, weird things happen in the house of Harris and his wife Allison, but Allison believes it is Kira, who has a crush on Harris, stalking them. They go to Kira's house and find her wounded in a completely destroyed place. Later Sid calls them and they are introduced to the paranormal investigators Vincent Cochet and Frances, who tell them that Sid read an ancient spell that cursed the trio and brought back the ghosts of the graves from the damned sector of the cemetery where they danced. He also discloses that Harris and Allison are being haunted by an insane ax murderer pianist; Kira by a sadistic rapist; and Sid by a pyromaniac. They have to break the curse or survive for an entire cycle of the full moon when the curse would finish, while the ghosts are getting stronger and stronger.
