Pagans Over 40

Pagans Over 40

Whether we are seasoned witches, warlocks, and practitioners, or just diving in; we are at a time in our journeys where we offer a more wisdom based love and understanding. We spent time learning about life through jobs, careers, businesses, and through families, friends and enemies. We have seen where spirituality plays a role in our personal philosophies and in our every decision.

The best part is we know a lot about ourselves. We know what we love and are not afraid to learn about new things. We know the way we want to live and are not afraid to figure out how to make it happen. We are now comfortable in our appearance and physique, and will change it if we see fit.

Our old inhibitions are gone. We are at a place in life where we are molding the future of our society. We now have the means, the confidence, and ability to live the way we want to. We see where the Earth needs us and we step up.

But with all of the changing we have done in life, our friend base has evolved. We are now looking for more than work peers and family. We want friends who are on our level of understanding. That is why we are here at Pagan Space.

Lets make friends.

Terrible devastation of the `Holy Thorn` some idiot took a chainsaw to it some time ago:(

Before it was vandalised it was a spectacular tree on a spectacular site.

In Glastonbury Abbey there is a tree grown from a cutting of the Wearyall hill tree by the locals  in past history after Cromwells men cut id down during the Civil War but the roots remained intact.

Youre right on the legend saying Joseph put his Staff into the earth at Waeryall Hill and the Thorn grew there.

The `ethos` of the Glastonbury Thorn has radiated worldwide, this is a `Clootie tree ` in local woodland by the Wrekin in Shropshire that we fought to stop UK Coal from devastating when they started their Opencast Mine in the area.

You can see the devastated woodland around it in the background, but we beat them on the Hawthorn `Clootie` tree;)

.Its a local place of Pagan pilgrimage.

Today UK Coal have `reinstated `the land devasted by Opencast Mining as they think it should look, have also gone bankrupt due to losses on the site through `Eco camp` protest, but the `Clootie` tree still remains and is still popular with pagans, and safe for future generations.

A big `Thank you` to all `Eco` warriors who set up camp and joined us local Pagans for 18 months until evicted, to fight the Coal company!

The true place I thought he thrust his staff into Wearyall Hill, which then grew into the original thorn tree. Interesting you should mention his staff as the holy thorn on Wearyall Hill because some mindless cretin took an axe to these remains to further destroy it...coincidentally right in the middle of an opposed property development bid on the hill.

The true place where Joseph of Arimathea thrust his staff into the earth and a spring emerged, deep in the Crypt of Glastonbury Abbey.

Public access denied, hence the iron locked gate, but as you can see, someone immerses in the well or takes water, and only the Church have access.

A cnotradiction in terms as the `Chalice Well` is always said to be Josephs spring.

Shanty - I would like to think this is Caer Sidi. Caer Sidi is a place also associated with Arianrhod meaning 'turning' or 'spiral castle.' She presides over reincarnation, and Caer Sidi is a place of souls which she takes there on her ship the Oar Wheel to reincarnate after eighty years of blissful forgetfulness.

On my website, I've identified its location.
