What is radio frequency ablation? I saw the dr yesterday and she gave me flector patches which did nothing for my pain. Also ordered MRI and I am scheduled for injections. Blessings all.......................

I am an addict in recovery and pills are not an option for me. Thou I did ask my dr for vicodan. Took it once and no relief. I am thinking maybe a nerve block or something for my sciatic nerve? I also have fibro, CFS, and am bipolar etc

Ooh, a nasty combination. Herniated discs, osteoarthritis and fibromyalgia took me away from my career as a chiropractor for 20 years. I'm sorry if I sounded glib. My discs are what cause the majority of my sciatic pain as well as the car accident last January. I had radio frequency ablation in May. At first it helped but now it's worse. I'm trying not to get addicted to pain meds but Tylenol 3 helps a little and doesn't mess with my head like the others. ~Q~

I thought chiropractic was for backs out of alignment. I have herniated discs, spinal stenosis as well a host of other ailments. Last time I saw a chiropractor I left in more pain than when I arrived.
Blessings

Laura,
Have you tried chiropractic? I could get a patient out of pain in at the most 3 visits. Of course I don't know your history, but it might be worth looking into. Blessed Be,~Q~

I have had sciatic nerve pain for over 2 months. My dr gave me an anti-inflamatory shot and then an anti-inflamatory shot plus pain killer. Neither did a thing. I see a pain management specialist tomorrow. Anyone know what will help. I do not want to take pills. Thank you and Many Blessings, Laura

My OB/GYN and I finally concluded that my pelvic pain was fibro related and I had a complete hysterectomy on Oct. 19th. I'm still having some pain from the surgery but getting better everyday. Just wanted to give everyone an update...

Hi and Blessings to everyone! I have osteoarthritis, rhumatoid (sp?) arthritis, COPD which includes emphysema and chronic bronchitis. Well, that is just to name a few. Good grief, if I named all my pains I'd be writing a book......muahahahahahaha! I'm trying to get weened off of Vicodin. My other stupid doctor had me taking it for the last 10 years, so I'm unfortunately addicted....10 yrs...ya think? muahahahahaha! I need to go to a specialist, but haven't made it yet. Soon though. I know there are others that must have much worse pain than myself, such as those with Fibro!!!!!!! I am here for emotional support and to give it to those that I can. I just had (2 mo ago) my 4th right hip implant. Chronic dislocation for 2 years! Ugh! This time (new surgeon) it seems I am healing extremely good. Oh happy days! I'm on disability, but starting college online, at DeVry, in January. I'm also going for my PhD in metaphysics.....I love the school! Guess that's all the pertinent info about me and my ills. Hope someone will email me!
Blessings & Gentle Hugs
