Hi and Merry Meet all! I love this , I am so glad to be here, I have made soaps for many years, I own my on line of bath and body products under Celestial Dreams, and I own Wild Wood Cottage, I am slowly but surely getting it back together, as i was robbed while in hosp last time and now have to almost start all over. But things happen for a reason, and i am just now waiting on my my disability and will be able to order inventory.
But we still do some orders and I love making soaps and I am going to have a few classes for others to enjoy too.
I love to learn and so much always changing so this will be so much fun. And nice to meet new ppl with same interests. Bright Blessings to all, Cher

I am new to PaganSpace, but have been a soap maker for 10 years. I am looking forward to getting to know everyone and learning new things!

The book will certainly help with learning actual soap making i.e. cold process and hot process. Melt and pour can be handy in a jiff, but actually delving into soapmaking is fun and gratifying.

My Mister and I absolutely love this book:

It's the best reference guide for the beginning or advanced soaper. We just started soapmaking, and I consider it our soap bible!

I bought mine used on Amazon.

I am wanting to learn how to make soap. Does anyone have any recipes, tips, on how to start.

Hello folks!

Maple and I made our first batch of cold process today! Our ingredients included a basic recipe with the fat oils being castor, olive, and coconut.

We made a few different styles with various inclusions. We made some with tangerine essential oil and dried citrus peels. Tangerine aside from smelling nice is supposed to have a lovely anti-septic quality and treat acne and the peels should make a nice visual and exfoliant.

We also made some bars with coco powder and coffee grounds. These turned a lovely dark brown and had a bit of a mocha smell to them!

We also made some plain with oatmeal as an exfoliant for a fragrance sensitive friend.

We'll let you all know how it turns out when they are done in about six or seven weeks!
