Peter & Sir Raibert~ I am of Native American descent and for the reasons stated, I do not celebrate Tday as most of the country does. Instead as Peter stated, we use it to Thank The God & Goddess for all they've provided us. The following explains why it is so horrid to celebrate the holidays as most Americans do:

The veracity and significance of the first Thanksgiving is debated in the United States. Many Native Americans in particular argue against the romanticized idea of the Wampanoag celebrating together with the colonists, for at that time the Indians had already recognized violent and greedy tendencies in the Pilgrims. Moreover, colonial documents fail to document that any such event actually took place. The first "thanksgiving" that appears in the documentary record occurred two decades later and shortly after the Pequot War in 1637, when the Connecticut Colony set aside a day of thanksgiving to celebrate the near annihilation of the Pequot. Thus in 1970, several Native American activist organizations declared Thanksgiving the "National Day of Mourning."

Blessing~

I am thankful for the friends I hae here tha banded together and helped strengthen me so much tha Mandy decided I had held back when she was trying to probe my strenght, she read the energy being sent to me as coming from me and backed off her attack, she had said she would nae let me find a woman so that I would always mourn the day she left me.

Greetings Everyone! I have soo much to be thankful for! Even at my lowest times, there is always something that you can give thanks for! I had 3 wishes for my lifetime and those were: to live in CO in the mountains; a cabin for our home and a Jeep to take drives in, in this majestic area! I now have all 3 ~ the cabin being the last of the 3. :) There were SO many conversations with the Goddess and each place I thought would be home~ wasn't. The Goddess knew best and here I am! I love going to bed and while I lay there waiting to doze off, I concentrate on all the good in my life, all the blessings and in doing this, it makes my sleep better! Instead of going to bed with a head full of worries, I fall asleep thinking of the good. It makes a tremendous difference!

Bright Blessings~

Merry Meet.
I know a lot of you will be attending thanks giving with your families.
The ThanksGiving practicing is wrong, after all the Pilgrims invaded America.;
Instead of giving thankgiviing the way they do, just give ThanksGiving to the Goddess. while attending your families thanksgiving, they will not be aware of this, pray the Goddess by yourself, a silent prayer, give thanx for all she has provided you, this gos for any Goddess our God, or your pantheon, you observe
Blessed Be
Peter
