Well there doesn't seem to be many teachers around, so how about we teach each other? We post questions and we help each other with them. Any takers?

Waxing Moon Circle's new Wicca 101 class begins on Sunday, May 19.
The class will meet at 1:00 pm on the first and third Sundays of each month in Santa Clara and will last for approximately a year and a day. Enrollment is limited.
This class will cover both Wicca as a whole, and also the Waxing Moon Circle approach to practice. It will include traditional ethics and lore, related academic topics, and exercises. There will be some discussion of other Pagan and Wiccan paths--partly for context, and partly for the benefit of students who are interested in studying them further.
There is no money being charged (though donations will be accepted to help cover costs of photocopying). Instead, as is the custom in traditional Wicca, students will help with class/coven/community-related projects and activities. These projects will typically average less than an hour per class meeting.
Homework will be assigned at each session. Students should plan to attend every class session and do all of the homework, which will consist, variously, of reading, research, papers, projects, and practice. Everyone will also participate in rituals outside of class time, such as community Sabbats with South Bay Circles, Esbats with Waxing Moon Circle. Many varied opportunities for ritual will be available, to accommodate students' different personal schedules.
The class will be taught by two elders of Waxing Moon Circle, Valerie Voigt and Ivan Richmond, who, between them, have approximately 50 years of experience. They will be assisted by WMC initiates and senior students. The class will culminate in presentation of a community Sabbat ritual.
Class day schedule:
1:00: Gather for tea and socializing.
1:30: Class begins. First class will start with orientation and a preliminary assessment exam; all remaining classes will start with homework quiz and discussion of the homework.
6:00: Class dismissal time.
Everyone must provide their phone number, plus a valid email address, which will be added to the class mailing list. All are responsible for keeping up with the list traffic, which will consist of class business and class-related discussion such as homework. (If participants desire, a Facebook group may be started for more personal conversations among classmates.)
As part of enrollment, everyone will sign an agreement that, to the best of their ability, they will attend all classes and do all the homework on time. (Life happens, however, and so in the rare case that a participant must miss a class, they should notify the instructors ASAP.)
Please note: it is possible to flunk out of this class! There will be a short quiz at the beginning of each class meeting. Anyone who slows the class down by repeated failure to be prepared will be asked to leave. Please register for this class only if you are committed to doing all the work. Homework will, for most people, take between 3 and 7 hours a week.
Makeup classes will NOT be given; students are responsible for contacting classmates to get notes, discuss the material, etc. and for being prepared for the quiz.
All are expected to use the Internet and/or libraries as part of their studies, but not all books are available in libraries. Students will provide their own books. We have an open collection of study links which can provide a useful starting point:

Please have your lunch before arriving for class.
For questions, or if interested in enrollment, please email [email protected] .
Blessed Be!
Comment by Robert de Hwyl on April 15, 2013 at 3:27pm I've been a Pagan for more than 50 years, following a path based on the Welsh Faerie Faith with bits and snippets of other teachings added when I found they could work well with what I do. I'm looking to share my knowledge as a teacher, either via email lessons or in person, without charge. I have taught college-level courses in Medieval History and Folklore at several major Universities in the USA, and currently reside in Northern New Jersey, with plans to move to South-Eastern Pennsylvania next year. Feel free to contact me with any questions.
Comment by Tara Flower on February 21, 2013 at 5:04am I have recently become a teacher in the Fellowship of Isis and I am posting some lessons in my blogs here on Paganspace.

The lessons are only short and they have a Wiccan leaning because I am a devotee of the God and Goddess. I will be putting on at least one more. If you are interested in finding out any more please let me know.

Comment by Jason FIlasky on October 17, 2012 at 3:15am Sorry All, I just sent a message to everyone, when I could have just posted on here. Still getting used to the site. Brand new to the Craft and would like some good beginning reading to open my mind to all paths so I can choose mine or it can choose me, whichever the case may be.
