Hi Dena, you are right about moving and back problems, not good.you are right other things surface. My doctor retired,and I ended up with a real winner.He told me he is giving me a total hip,I said no,he set a surgery date,I went for a second,I just need 2 new knees.Now with all the twisting his m.a. did I cann't walk. I called the
insurence co, and now they went after him for fraud. When it rains for me iget a hurricane.

I'm janie and I want to say hello...hello. I am disabled from a stroke that is now showing itself through my diabetes, and tendinitis. I left my employment due to the physical expectations of the work. I have a son with down syndrome who is my best support system. Merry Meet and thanks. We had just moved a week ago to another house. I did all the packing and unpacking. Not good with back problems.

I had the ablation and that seems to be ok. Other problems have surfaced. I've been working as a hairstylist for a couple of days a week to see if I can handle it. So far so good.

Hi everyone, I joined this group and planned on being social... then a downstairs apt. became available & so the moving process began... Of course, my husband did the lifting heavy things etc. Anyways, I hope in time I can get to know others here... I find that it helps at times to talk to others dealing with the whole medical thing... Warmest Blessings

Had a meet and greet with my new doctor. She prefers alternative medicine and has her office just 15 down the road. After the transition it will be a nice change. Going into town today to get fit into my diabetic shoes---it will be nice to wear a pair of the same shoe again. Signed up for weight watchers. Shoulder is healing, still anticipating the idea of surgery.

Hello all, Hope this finds everyone doing well. For the moment the worst of my disabilities is not having a name. My doctors seem to have given up on helping me and are no throwing perscribtions at me although they are not sure what is causing my problems.

Hello everyone, I am anewbie to this site, but recognise some friends here.
I have a tumour on my Spine due to a fall on a Government contract some years ago, its benign, but causes massive pain as the bone growth is altered, and compresses the facet joint nerves as it fuses the vertebrae together.
Just for good measure, I also have a diagnosed COPD lifespan of around 7 -9 years, but believe in getting on with things and living life to the full.
Some will know that I am a practicing Witch with Old Roots, and also one that embraces the New.
I teach, but only on a one to one basis, make Wand and Staffs and Stangs, and work as a Solitary, and a member of a loose knit group of similar Witches.
A good idea to have such a group as this.

Disabled over here. My stroke of 7.5 years ago is showing itself. I have tendinitis in my stronger shoulder- now equal with my weak shoulder from extending its use too much. Not hurting as much now that I know what the pain is about. I will be switching to a more local doctor come the beginning of 2010 who believes strongly in alternative healing. Also have problems with my tendon in my weaker leg---gotten too tight, might need surgery. It would be nice to be able to lift it easilly up the stairs and not always tripping on rug edges. The truth of my diabetes is kicking in- need to be a whole lot more careful about food choices. It is snowing like crazy here and I'm loving it.
