Here's a link about this holiday that's coming today and the one that's going to mark the end of the Athenian month of Hekatombaion.

Comment by BlackRaven on July 27, 2010 at 1:55pm: Timothy, who wrote the book "A Beginners Guide to Hellenismos" told me that it was all connected to Theseus. I think the holiday might of started to celebrate what happened to the Minotaur as well as united Attica with Athens under him.
