A sacred marriage. Is there any discussion on this topic or perhaps a book/site that covers this very important aspect of a Witch's life?

Hey Mystikal Summer Star, sorry it took so long for a response to your query, but i don't think it makes any difference if your partned believes or not. So long as it's an intense enough experience that your partner isn't activly working against you, their doubt is a moot point. It does, however, bring up an ethical point you must resolve for yourself. Personally, if no one is being hurt, i'd have no qualms about it. Just one mans opinion.

HAIL!

I desperately long for my soul mate. If ever a soul screamed to the Universe for it, it would be mine. The pain of seperation is excruciating.

Thank you, everyone, for joining and engaging in discussion! I'm sorry I'm not present as often as I'd like to be. Got lots going on! :) I also invite you to join my Yahoo group called CLASS_USA (which stands for Celebrating Love and Sacred Sexuality in the USA). I'm more active there since I can read and reply to discussions via email (as opposed to having to log on to PaganSpace to participate in discussions here.

I'd like to comment on some of the discussion here. Having a highly empathic partner can sometimes make intimacy somewhat difficult, as the empathic partner can easily become overwhelmed, especially when paired with someone who is pretty intense. Both parties need to learn a deeper level of shielding and grounding, and learn how to manage one's energy flow more precisely. It is possible to get to a place where you are balanced, and even where you can complement each other. Part of sacred sexuality is learning to take responsibility for yourself and your pleasure and your needs, and learning to balance energies falls into this.

I'd also like to say that it is possible for men to learn to be fully present and participatory in sex magic rituals, and can learn to delay their ejaculation, in order to keep pace with the woman's slower progression through the arousal-orgasm cycle. Additionally, orgasm isn't always the goal in sex magic. So there's no reason to let one or the other partner lead, unless that's what works best for an individual couple.

More soon.... :)

Lovingly,
Inara

How does one cope with an empathic wife? I tend to want to offer too much and it becomes a bit too heated if you catch my drift.

to Grey wolf. Like I said before in my last comment. Let the woman lead. I'm not being sexist I'm being straigt up. Women can enjoy sex and multitask at the same time. Guys we have all we can do to last more than three pumps. you know what I'm talking about were think bea arthur, nascar, and how to change the oil in our trucks. So let the women lead. the whole ritual is designed around a woman anyways, So have fun and enjoy connecting with each other.
