TYPHON-
This is just me reading from the first page of comments.

Are you in Minnesota? Is that where your family moved to? That's where all of my Slovak relatives moved to and now either still live there, or have moved elsewhere in the States.

I say Slovak because my great-grandpa was very um, precise when making sure people knew we weren't Czech, we were Slovak. There was obviously some sort of anger there, and as I haven't read about the civil war since I wrote a report on it in middle school, I'm assuming it had to do with what led to that.

I believe my birthday buddy (great grandpa) said he's from Vazec (I don't know how to do the the marks over the letters with my keyboard) and I'm looking on different sites for other cities/villages that sound familiar.

I can't read the languages that are not English that are on the discussion threads. This is upsetting to me. I'm half Slavic in origin and really wanting to learn about my ancestry in terms of mythos, etc

Fra Aes, I personally have never seen or heard of a PDF version of Slavic Sorcery, but it is excellent and a must read. You might also want to read "Finnish Magic" by Robert Nelson Ph.D., to understand that similarities between Slavic and Finnish, and thus with Germanic and Celtic beliefs.
