One of the ways that sleep paralysis experiences differ from dreams is that there is no story line. Quite often, people having sleep paralysis experiences will think it is real and will not realize they are sleeping. Sometimes, these people will feel paralyzed and cannot move. Another typical characteristic is that people will feel a great force pressing down hard on their chest. If the person tries to scream, he or she will not be able to utter a sound. Sometimes, the person having the experience will feel an apparition touch them or will hear it speak to them. Sometimes, they will be able to see the apparition.

Incubus experiences occur when a female has the vivid and utterly real experience of a male apparition having sex with her. A succubus experience occurs when a female apparition has sex with a man.

I've had sleep paralysis for as long as I can remember. In fact some of my first memories are of this event. As a kid it was always the same presence and it was like it was trying to push me out through my feet. As I aged I somehow broke the "thread" that connected me to this being. This was a couple years ago now and I get randoms when I have it, I warded my house very thoroughly and this seams to help. The thing is sometimes I have it and if my wards are fresh nothing s there its just me extended out into well everything. Has anyone else experienced this? I mean sp is scary and things talk to me and try to life again it seams like but when They arent there in those moments its beautiful. All the barriers of the physical are gone and for a few moments I get to feel what it is to be. I get full force what my physical form can only tease me with glimpses of when I'm awake. I've heard the horror stories of sp but I don't know if anyone has felt this.

Hubby was gone some where. My dog we had at the time was barking and I could not move I kept seeing dark shapes and then, I felt a hand around my throat I really could not breathe and the dog kept jumping up annd down I could feel hands on my throat I finally called out my guaridans and next I see my dog launching it self at something I could not see and I saw a light being lack of a better word and I heard flapping of wings lack of a better word and I saw dark being leave and the feeling of dread left me. I jumped up from the bed I did have, ha I ran otthe bathroom and got sage and went to my altar did prayers. I know dog would not leave my side all day. I found out later that, the guy upstairs apartment daughter was , doing curses and doing dark magic and calling up dark entitys as practice thorugh the board. He told me so and so did she she ewas mad at her dad. We left soon after that. it iddi follow us ot our new deistnation and I had another attqack and I had to get a professional out to get rid of it.

In this dream, I got up from my bed, walked out to the livingroom where one of my children was sleeping on the sofa, and I checked on him. He seemed to be sleeping peacefully, so I turned around to go back to bed. As I entered my bedroom, there was a tall cloaked figure to my left in the corner of the room. It was hooded, and cloaked in black from head to toe, I couldn't see any facial, or body features at all. This being was extremely powerful, and emitted an energy that held me still. I couldn't move. I kept trying to reach my bed so that I could get back into my body (which wasn't on the bed, by the way,,,very strange.). I felt that if I could get back to my body I'd be ok, and this huge creepy figure could do me no harm. However, it kept me frozen in place, and wouldn't allow me to get back to my body to wake up. I tried struggling with this being, but it was way too strong. It never pulled me to it, only held me captive in it's energy from afar. During my struggles, I finally woke up. It felt so real. I was very frightened when I awoke, and had to calm down for a bit before going back to sleep. Like I said, this happened many years ago. I was in my late 30's. I'm almost 50, now. What can you tell about this incident, and being?

Comment by LokiDreaming on May 14, 2011 at 7:15am: From my personal experiences and observations sleep paralysis means you have not got enough stored energy for doing stuff in your sleep/dreams and does not necessarily mean that you are being tormented/mounted by a demon.

The more stored energy you accumulate and the more experience you have the less sluggish you become. I do not have sleep paralysis anymore.

teacher,Sister Sharon, very cool Nun, taught us many things about

death and dying, drugs, but what I received the most from was

self-hynosis which I use alot. What I am curious about is dream travel

and Deja Vu. The fortelling of what will happen in dreams.

The next is do some people have a dream life? When were asleep do

we become awake somewhere else? Self Hynosis has allowed me

to give direction, so there is some order to them. now it is like a movie, sometimes boring, exciting,scary; strange and I wonder why.
