Permalink Reply by Lori Anne on October 20, 2012 at 7:54pm Martina's description of Samhain is very accurate and seems to include all the major espects. But I might add that you should include elements of nature in your celebration. This will be determined by where in the world you live. Here in Canada the trees and plants are going into their dormant stage and daylight hours are becomming less and less. Also, the last harvest is complete with pumpkins, squash and apples being harvested. I am undecided whether I will have a feast of the dead this year, but if I do I would serve something hearty with apple wine and pumpkin pie. There will be lots of candle light and of course, a hack-o-lantern.
