Dear Friends, its been nearly 11 months since I initially wrote anything on this site, I do not check it as often as I do facebook for some reason, but that is neither here nor there. I am interested in how many people are active on this group and interested in where you are from and what your belief system is. I consider myself a witch and I practice a Celtic Heathenism. I am a numerologist, tarot reader, maker of magical amulets clothing and keepsakes. I sing and dance my spells. I follow tenets of witchcraft not a rede although the tenets all support and weave in The rede. I have been within the ring of Stonehenge as well as the Ring in Avesbury and someday I will go to the Beltain Celebration in Edinburg Scotland. I believe that its important for eclectics and solitaries to network with their larger pagan community, because that is how ideas and magic gets spread about...and its always useful to know at least one person more advanced in their practice than you are, to learn from when you are ready to learn or to call if you find yourself facing something that is beyond your ability to "enter situation here". I look forward to seeing everyones reply Blessed Be

Huh, I hadn't heard of that. I'll have to check it out, thanks. I hope I can find SOMETHING cuz, yeah, finding any of that in this area is like finding a needle in a needle stack :/

So you're Druid inspired to a degree. Hmm,  I don't know of any communities online or otherwise for thatm sorry :/

Have you tried to check out witchvox.com in NE and WY to see if there are any groups that may be of assistance to you? Sadly us out here are very limited in our shops, groups, and tolerances, and there are so few of us out here as well :(

Thanks :) I'm a polytheist. My main deity is a Maternal Earth Goddess I call Gaia, then there's Luna (the moon) and Belenos (the Sun). I tend to lean towards Ancient Celtic Druidism the most, but I wouldn't necessarily say I WAS a druid... *shrugs* I've never really talked about this stuff with anyone other than my mom....

I just label myself a Pagan. I don't like the confines of Wicca, and I don't fall into other categories like Heathen or anything, so just Pagan is good for me :)

Do you follow the Goddess or a God or anything? I won't be much help finding you a group, but maybe I can help you find something online to help :)

Nice to meet you, Demonna. I'm a little nervous about joining circles or covens because, while paganism calls to me, I'm not Wiccan or a witch in any sense. I don't really have an exact name for what I believe which makes it hard for me to find other people like me...

Hi Vee! I'm in Edgemont, so we're pretty close distance wise :)

I'm a solitary as well in person, but I belong to a coven online on Facebook. There used to be a group in Rapid, but I'm not sure if they're still around. They were listed on WitchVox at one point.

Hi all, I'm Vee... Reaching out into the pagan community is very new to me; my mom taught me and she's a very "practice on my own" kind of person. I, however, long for a sense of community and hope to be able to talk with other like-minded people. Feels awfully lonely here in Rapid City....

Are there any Heathens in the Brookings County area?

A rapid city teaching/learning grove about to start.
