Shell Art
Shell art is a craft my mother got me into when I was younger and we would go for walks on the beach looking for discarded shells. She would find the shell and tell me what kind it was and when we got home she would make little shell art critters with the shells we found. Being in Florida means I have easy access to beaches and sea shells. Anyone else enjoy this craft?

have made things using shells but not making little critters. l do usr rocks for this, l do not live near a beach, but when l go, l do gather as many as l can. Of course the ones l do are better, but l found this on the web, l made a spider and the grand kids made other critters, the pet rock is a great craft for kids and adults, Adults will do better then kids, but it keeps them busy.

yes i like to do this craft with shells i am making a dolll for element water using the shells putting little pearls and stuff inside i like to glitter the shell up.

I also LOVE shells. It's hard really really hard for me to walk on the beach and NOT pick up every shell that I see. Its just that each and every one of them is so darn beautiful to me,lol My husband always asks me" dont you have ENOUGH shells by now"? lol "never ,I say"
I had always planned on making something unique with them, but havent yet. I have lots of jars of them sitting on tables and window sills, just to look at. I also had so many of them that I used them as "mulch" around this one neat tree that I have. It looks really nice with sea shells all the way around it
I will never tire of walking on the beach though and waiting to see what Treasure the sea will give to me"
