Here's a list of Cowboy Superstitions.

1: A saddle bronc rider always puts the right foot in the stirrup first.
2: Never kick a paper cup thrown down at a rodeo.
3: Cowgirls often wear different colored socks on each foot, for luck.
4: Don't compete with change in your pocket because that's all you might win.
5: Never put your hat on a bed -- you may be seriously injured or killed.
6: Eating a hotdog before the competition brings good luck.
7: Never read your horoscope on competition day.
8: Never eat peanuts or popcorn in the arena.
9: Always shave before the competition.
10: Never wear yellow in the arena -- it will bring bad luck.

Being a daughter of a rodeo man, you forgot a couple others.....
1. In the team herding competition or practice, never go for the third pair (number 3)
2. Never carry 13 dollars on competition day. According to my dad, it meant that you'd lose all your money.
3. Never lead another man's horse, unless you're not competing. He learned this one young, something about how you could "mojo" the man's horse or something.
and
4. Never sit on your spurs!

Alright I added that last one, but my dad was famous for saying it. As it stands, he's been a cowboy since he was 13 years old and ran away to his uncle's house for spring herding. He won alot of competitions in his day, and ever since I was small, I heard all these, and more!

blessings!
