Arcane- That really depends on who is working on you. Since it's a friend of mine he gave me a great deal on it (mostly because he expects me to give him a tattoo at some point, in return). I only paid $300 to get it done. If you don't know someone who can tattoo, it can be very pricey. On average, with a piece like mine, you are looking at about $900+. The bigger you go, the more it will be. Plus you can add the cost of time/supplies used. If you are walking into a shop where you don't know the artist.

Mine was rather 'simplistic', only using one color (more color=higher cost, more detail=higher cost)so that also gets you a vague idea of what you are looking at cost wise. Although I have plans on adding to this in the future (background and such) so it'll be another $300 when that comes around.

Beautiful tattoo Damh! And I agree about the ribs. My first tattoo is a series of 5 butterflies down my ribs on my left side. HURT!

hey! people takling here, woot! lol love your giant tattoo, i am looking at a chest piece, well putting it off actually haha cause of the whole uber pain thingie...i am a pansy you see!! but props to you for sitting through such a hard core session, well many sessions!
